I know it is only a soap, and we have to suspend reality a fair bit, however, based on what we seen of Will's testimony, she absolutely would walk free. Why didn't he say about her contacting him, asking him to meet, speaking to him through the games console, the mum turning up at the pub... Are we just to assume he did mention all this but it happened off screen?

Also, what was the point of Kit saying that they had found something on her? Nothing came of that, what was it they even found? And as someone has already mentioned, the other lad that she obviously groomed, why did that not go anywhere? Half arsed attempt at a pIss poor trial.

I might be wrong, but was David not on to Jody and about how she’s devious and not to the trusted, or was that after she convinced him again that he really did drunkenly try to cop off with her. They’re all having a laugh about it now in the house!

And why is no one joking the dots? Daniel hasn’t twigged that if she could be the Truthteller, then is also possible she’s telling lies about the David thing. Adam doesn’t seem to be believing Daniel about Jodie being Truthteller when he himself was a victim of hers when she was planting dog poo to piss him off, then posted him on the community WhatsApp group?

The writing is just awful, and we still don’t even know what the point of Jodie actually is.

I work in sexual offences and non fatal strangulation is HUGELY common. When I’ve spoken about it with midwives I’ve worked with previously it’s surprising how many have engaged in this ‘consensually’ under the disguise of ‘choking’ not knowing that no one can consent to being strangled which is what it is. Definitely as there’s been an increase in brutality in porn but the whole 50 shades of grey and that BDSM seen an increase (although I recognise that 50 shades doesn’t have NFS). It is a criminal offence in itself and takes less pressure than opening a can of coke to actually cause significant harm and that isn’t always instant, it could be up to 4 weeks later. When I’ve done presentations to sexual health they’ve told me that kids as young as 14 have asked them for advice on how to safely strangle their girlfriend, scary! I could talk about it endlessly so I will shut up but you’d be surprised how many adults think this is normal.

The verdict of Megan's trial is in today's episode. In the first half of it so you get to see a bit of the aftermath.

So we never get to hear anything else from the other young lad that she groomed? I thought that he would come forward during the court case, there must have been plenty of information about her trial on social media, it's highly unlikely that he wouldn't have known about it. Another pointless character that seems to have been completely forgotten

I like Betsy but her having this storyline means every second scene has Swain or Lauren. If it carries on being so 'them heavy' I'll be fast forwarding.

Lauren's an absolute cow!! Lying to Dylan, lying to Betsy, then sh*t-stirring the pot when she knows there's not a thing the incapacitated Betsy can do

And how mortified would an already vulnerable 18 year old girl be about her mum shouting her sex life to the whole street. Wouldn't a policewoman have more tact?
