Why are they making out Jim was a total deadbeat. Sally said - not many will be at his funeral - he was pally with her Kevin & Bill.

He was a family man - he initially went to prison protecting Steve - it’s like they’ve ret-conned that he was a total horrible person (admittedly his last few appearances he had lost the plot, the fake daughter, getting Peter back on the ale in prison, holding up a Bank}

How long before Jodie keys Adam’s new car… 🥱
Am I misremembering but wasn't the solicitors in financial trouble and nearly closing a short while ago? Now Adam had an Aston Martin. Mind you I suppose a few locals have needed a solicitor recently.

Surely Todd can just contact his bank and get a new card, instead of living off the occasional fiver Theo gives him?! Todd has a full time job, doesn't have an obviously lavish lifestyle, so why was he made out to be in debt? Theo cut the bank card up and Todd hasn't had access to his account so, apart from direct debits going out, he should have built a nice stash of money in his account.

Todd agreed to Theo setting up a joint account. Then Theo told him he couldn't be trusted so he would give him an allowance, so more complete control over Todd.
I don't think the joint account was set up, though (and wouldn't Todd have to sign something at the bank anyway) as Todd asked Theo recently when he was doing it, as he was strapped for cash. None of it makes sense!

He could but is probably too afraid due to Theo's control. Imagining the reaction if discovered.
I have a vague recollection of Todd taking out a loan when he didn't have a job, is that the debt?
If Theo cut the card up, he can't access the money or did he ask for his Internet banking info.
In real life the financial control is a real coercive issue but with this story, it's all so confusing and badly done.

Theo making such a big deal about his birthday. You’re a grown man Cocker, get over it!

Why can’t anyone see how sad Todd is?

Not buying the Adam/Alya relationship. They are soooooo boring.

Lauren’s an awful barmaid and Ollie would be far better off with Amy.

It would be nice, once this balls with Theo is over, for Todd to have a good relationship with James. I can see them as a couple.

I'm sure Adam and Alya are only together because the writers don't know what to do with them. TBH Alya could go and no one would miss her.

IIRC when he was briefly out of work he got a credit card so owes on that and was there also something to do with the new car Theo got him? Did he damage it and also have to get it repaired (which also went on the credit card). So he’s trying to live and pay off the CC on the meagre amount Theo gives him. I imagine his wages are paid into his account but he just can’t access it 😞

Im hoping that summer walks in and catches him mid abuse, was thinking she might’ve walked in last night when he randomly pulled what looked like a Stanley knife on Todd
