Lisa’s face after she took the phone call confirming Becky with the bad hair was a baddy. I think we were meant to see the realisation dawn on her face and see her look change but because her face is so frozen, she just had the same look throughout the entire scene
She literally has 2 looks - crying face and not crying face. How she recently won an acting award is unbelievable - I assume there we NO other nominees??!

I really hope this Debbie/Carl driving storyline doesn’t go on for ages, it’s pissing me off already to the point that i don’t want to watch it anymore. Poor Debbie, I wish the writers would give her character an effing break for a bit!!

Showing my age here, but does anyone else think Theo looks like the wooden man off the old Cuprinol adverts?
Haha I’ve posted cuprinol man on the thread before, so yeah, almost identical. Cuprinol man had more personability though.

Re Tracey’s outfit, I assumed it was because she doesn’t even like Debbie so just shut up shop for half a day for some free food and drink?!

I've managed to catch up with last nights Corrie and Corriedale tonight, I've had to hide from social media all day.

Underwhelmed would be my assessment. I did watch last nights Emmerdale as well but, not knowing who half the characters were or what they were talking about was such a distraction.
I'd be focused on Corrie characters having a scene and then randomly had people I didn't know, doing stuff. It was like they'd spliced two completely separate programmes for no real reason. I just kept wanting the Emmerdale people to go away.
Clearly from this thread and the CorrieDale one, people enjoyed it but it wasn't for me.

I actually really enjoyed it but I think what helped was I watched a tiktok which explained the emmerdale bits that you needed to understand to watch corriedale. I did try watch tonight emmerdale but didn’t have a clue what was going on.

It wasn't for me either.
I guess if you watch both soaps, it would be interesting.

I only dip in and out of the current Corrie.
I much rather the Classic Corrie, with Jack and Vera, cannot even recall most of the old storylines, but it had humour!

Sorry @griftalo - great minds think alike! I’ve only been here for the last thread or two so didn’t realise I was quoting you!!

I don’t watch Emmerdale, but have done in the past so I do know of the Sugdens and Dingles etc. I did spend a lot of time googling who John is, and how he was related to Robert. Also didn’t recognise Victoria at the end.

I did still enjoy Corriedale though, and loved all the little throwbacks, like Steve recognising his old taxi buddy (had to google the circumstances of his leaving) and Tim chatting with Chas. It was a good episode with a lot going on.

The Sun have put up a 5min film of interviews on ytube with a few of the cast - Corrie Soap Crossover - as themselves and Becky has a nice short haircut, so different to her Corrie style.
God knows what Jack P Shepherd was on but I don't want any 😁

I was the same. My parents used to have Emmerdale on when I was a kid, but I wouldn’t have watched since the early 2000s. I recognised the Dingles and Andy Sugden, Robert and Victoria Sugden are played by different actors than when I watched and John is obviously newer.

I thought it was a novelty, the interactions between Carla/Charity, Ken/Eric, Tim/Chaz were really good. I wasn’t aware of any of the Emmerdale story lines, but it wasn’t too hard a follow, I also didn’t really invest in thinking too much about them, with no interest in watching Emmerdale again in the future.

Andy Sugden isn’t it in anymore. Do you mean Aaron Dingle? Robert’s boyfriend

I find it funny how all the soaps have the same people still, same as a previous poster that I only watched Emmerdale when at my grandparents and that was years ago but I did recognise quite a lot of the people

I've not connected that the mystery woman is called Jodie so thought you were talking about Jodie Prenger. Also have no idea who James Nelson Joyce is so this was a very confusing post which I'd assumed was on the wrong thread. Have googled now so slightly clearer although still no idea who JNJ is.
Scouse actor. The main guy in This City is Ours, Time, Little Boy Blue
