I've not idea who any of the Emmerdale people are so don't know who's good or bad which meant that what seemed like 75% of it went way over my head. No idea if the woman in the woods (assuming that was Victoria) is in any way connected with the guy she was standing over and how any of it fitted into the random woman in the boot of the car. Could have been the same woman for all I know as it was hard to tell in the dark. Suspect that people that don't watch Corrie would be confused by those bits too. Did find the whole multiple car crash thing somewhat ridiculous also, they left Yorkshire in daylight which is very early from a wedding even though it went dark pretty quickly. Highlight for me was Steve recognising VikramI think sometimes you have to suspend disbelief and lean into whatever they’re trying to do, otherwise it all becomes crap. I loved it. I’m on a few other groups and some people, well I don’t know what they were expecting as all they can say is ‘that was dreadful/crap’ but not articulate what it is they were expecting. It had main characters and storylines from both, deaths, laughs, cries, gasps, extra people, dead people returned, all in an hour (minus adverts!). I think it was really well done. I will admit that having a relatively basic knowledge of ‘the other half’, if you only watch one, was beneficial. I’ve not watched her properly for ages, but even I gasped at Cain getting shot and Victoria ending up in the woods. The really unbelievable bit was Tim sat on his a all night while everyone else helped out- I know he’s feckless, but you think he’d go and see if Steve was alright![]()
Victoria and the man in the woods are brother and sister. Although I’m not sure if they ever got a dna test to prove he wasn’t lying about being a SugdenI've not idea who any of the Emmerdale people are so don't know who's good or bad which meant that what seemed like 75% of it went way over my head. Is he typecast as someone with an identity crisis?Victoria and the man in the woods are brother and sister. Although I’m not sure if they ever got a dna test to prove he wasn’t lying about being a Sugden
Yes. I was telling my mum he plays a crazy person in everything I’ve seen him inIs he typecast as someone with an identity crisis?![]()
I know what you're saying but all the extras just got in the way and took up space. Had no idea who any of them are or the back stories so they were just filler. Suspct that this worked really well if you watch both programmes but I'd rather have just had the Corrie bit.Even if you didn’t watch Emmerdale, the Corrie storylines were separate enough that not knowing the Emmerdale stories doesn’t affect what you watch from now on in Corrie. If that makes any sense. You could see it as just loads of extras.
I don’t watch Emmerdale but have prior knowledge with regards to who’s who. I watched the episode beforehand which helped. To me, it was a one off and once I’ve watched tonight’s it’ll be just a past episode of Corrie in my head, perhaps with cameos. It’ll obvious affect the storylines but in terms of changing Corrie, it’s not going to for me. It wasn’t going to please everybody, but for me I loved it, I’ll watch Emmerdale for the next couple of episodes probably but that’ll be it.I know what you're saying but all the extras just got in the way and took up space. The mystery woman was there in the hospital, she gave Shona a weird look so definitely knows her. I wonder who she is
Ooooh ! Good theory. Anything is possible in soap land !!Clayton’s secret twin she gave up? Or is that too Hollyoaks-ish
Not enough hours in the day for me to do that, can barely find the time to keep up to date with one soapI'm assuming ITV were hoping viewers would watch both soaps leading up to it
She looks like her as well. The mystery woman was there in the hospital, she gave Shona a weird look so definitely knows her. I wonder who she is
He totally gives me the creeps and I think he must be related to Robbie Rotten from Lazytown (he’s a creep tooJust looking at Theo annoys me. Even before he turned into a psycho narcissist. I think it’s his hair.
