Marginally OT but is anyone following the BBC In Court podcast? It hasn't updated since Tuesday if I go into the BBC Sounds app. Just wanted to check in case my app is being a bit dodgy.

It's also not available on Spotify which is interesting. Can anyone with media knowledge shed light on why?

And the fact they had slept rough in tents before with a previous child just shows that it wasn't isolated to being on the run, they just didn't care.

Their FIRST child even. That surprised me. I’d kind of assumed their lifestyle had slowly got more chaotic and neglectful, not that they were trying to raise a baby in a tent from the very start.

I’ve got about 15 or so pages to go back & catch up on but the video of those two evil guys with that beautiful baby in the restaurant has made me both extremely upset & angry. They are all wrapped up & that baby doesn’t even have a coat or a hat on? Then she’s carrying her under her coat like a rugby ball !! It’s beyond comprehension, what on earth was (or wasn’t!) going through their heads !!

That upset me too ...before they discarded her poor body like a piece of rubbish and the cctv footage of baby Victoria being manhandled i wrongly assumed she was some earth mother off grid type who was doing this as she was desperate to be able to keep a much wanted child and that she was protective and nurturing towards her.

I don’t think this is a serious case review. Victoria had no contact with social services

There is always a Child Death Review whenever a child dies, in whatever circumstance. It is a multi-agency panel. Not sure which LA would have the responsibility to hold this though given the travelling around.

I also think they’re saying the baby was born on Christmas Eve to make it seem like they were safe and warm for the birth.

The prosecution maintain that she was born on or after 28th December, there must be a reason for that - but is it because they want to suggest that the baby was born in a car, or do they have evidence.

Putting a sheet in the washing machine, to me does not seem an indication of a birth in the airbnB. A washing machine wouldn't remove that mess!

The Christmas eve birth seems a bit too much like wishful thinking, nice and warm and cosy. Don't believe it.

I thought kind of along the same lines.

It was the cctv in the kebab shop where she dumped her in the buggy, plonked that blanket on her face and he gently moved it and tucked it around her. A violent convinced rapist showed more care to Victoria than her mum, it really shocked me.

Read a few pages back that a dog leash was found amongst the discarded items. Did they abandon a dog somewhere, too? Or was the leash for the cat if they were planning to be on the move? Or was it for something more sinister??

I then wondered if they washed it because of the cat. But why would you do that, while leaving cat litter everywhere!

There was a red wine stain on the duvet (or mattress?) so they probably just spilt something on the bed.

Because this was their fifth baby and all the other children had been removed by social services.

I keep thinking about those phones. 30 mobile phones! That must have taken a while to accumulate (or made a very, very strange day of purchasing). But also - WHY? She's estranged from her family, they were on the run - who did they think they were going to be calling? His family maybe? I don't know.

Does anyone else remember his mother saying on the news that she was worried Mark and Constance had been kidnapped? No, love, your rapist son is running from the police with a vulnerable newborn baby. Strikes me that while Constance has had too much privilege, he's had too many excuses and pandering from his family. And her from stupid Facebook groups who know nothing about the history or reality.

Speaking of the history and reality, I'm becoming more aware of how much the police and social services must have known about the way these filthy humans were living and what they were capable of, and how vulnerable poor tiny baby girl must have been. They must have been worried sick - and then their worst fears came true.

So if they paid in cash for everything does this mean all the reports from the taxi, the restaurant, shops, supermarkets, hotels were from individual reports each time? It's also quite odd that at least one hotel let them pay in cash. They usually ask for a card incase you steal anything or...

CM obviously has massive issues if she's carting around handwritten notes containing a mass of incoherent messaging that only she can decipher.

It's time for these to two jokers to have the book thrown at them to the point they never have the opportunity to put a foot on soil outside of HM Prison.

Another geographic comment but they’d have easily been able to acquire that many phones in just one shop in the east London areas they were hanging around in.

Not uncommon to have those sort of “independent” tech shops, or even a teeny tiny little booth in one of those frankenshops like a barbers/accountant/estate agents/solicitors/travel agent 🫨 They always put those dodgy little bullet shaped phones obviously intended to be hidden in ur in prison in the windows lol. And there are always market place equivalents of these shops too. Out of everything they did that would have been the easiest imo
