Just a thought that popped into my mind; if she was seeing any of the previous 4 children at contact centres for example (I know we will never know this but say she was) then she will have also dropped those visits in order to hide this pregnancy & would just be another example of what a piece of tit woman/mother/human she is. Apparently caused all this to keep a “much loved” baby but couldn’t be arsed doing the work to stay in the lives of 4 children & simply abandoned them, even when SS would have put visits in place. It’s just my musing, but again I hope the jury have the same thought process about this arrogant witch & see her for the selfish witch she truly is & that her kids, all 5 of them, meant nothing to her & were as disposable as rubbish.

There was loads of baby stuff in the car. I don't understand why they couldn't just replace the essentials, such as the snowsuit. They had cash. It's like their ability to care for their child went up in flames with their vehicle.

He's the brother who inherited the estate when the father left the family. So maybe he controls the trust funds and was limiting CM's access or threatening to cut her off completely if she didn't sort herself out?

Is it me, or does the snowsuit not even look that damaged? I appreciate it will have had smoke damage, but it looks wearable enough that they could have used it to keep Victoria warm until they could buy a new one. But, as we know, they didn't care enough to buy a new one anyway.

SE9 is Eltham, south east London and just on the cusp before it gets into the Kentish boundary of Chislehurst (v posh) and Bromley (quite nice). Historically got more of a white working class, Turkish, and black communities, famously where the murder of Stephen Lawrence took place, so very different to the east London boroughs they were also in. I grew up in south so this might be a bias but very very different to the east London communities imo. I’d say far more long term settled family homes/communities there versus some of the more chaotic living arrangements you can find in that part of the very deprived east

I'd agree with this - that particular road is (or used to be) on the local driving test route, I've practiced 3 point turns and parallel parks there back when I was a learner. It's a very normal quiet (hence being on test routes) family area, ex council houses but mostly owner occupied or single family rented, not HMOs (legal and illegal) that you see in parts of East London. The clothing thing is puzzling me, I know it's all trying to make rational sense of people who are behaving irrationally but if they had thought to get all those clothes, snowsuit etc initially for the baby, why did they then not think to replace them?
