Thing is I've never thought she was overly pretty, she's just skinny due to the applesauce bingeing
I don't think she finds herself particularly pretty which is why she is always wearing makeup and straightening her hair and thinks being skinny will help. I think Erik finds money and success attractive

Just watched the some days are hard video, my main take away is that now it’s winter time and getting dark earlier and as such the parks close early. She’s taking Flynn to shops to run around and buy him toys everyday?!! This boy is going to be so spoilt. I always feel bad for her nieces and nephews that they just don’t seem to get spoiled at all, everything is to be shared but she’s taking Flynn to the total opposite extreme and both are just really sad and doing a disservice to your kids

Anyone else noticed she spent the whole lockdown inside made sure everyone know every single day that she is being safe the whole family quarantined for 2 weeks so they can meet up every now and then but now her twins are born in NICU she went out for meal with kory for his birthday out for ice cream and to the shops to buy flynn another toy when surely this is the time you want to be around less people so you don't risk getting corona for when you see your babies 1-2 hours a day

Yes she’s doing him a disservice. He’s already so spoilt and bratty, I feel bad for him for using him as a prop in her vlogs… He’s a very young child and it’s not normal to grow up constantly being videotaped, you can see how he acts up when he knows he’s being recorded :(

I don't think she finds herself particularly pretty which is why she is always wearing makeup and straightening her hair and thinks being skinny will help. I think Erik finds money and success attractive
Oh she has massive confidence issues. Her ED stems from it. I don’t find her pretty nor weird, just very average mid 30s woman with small frame.

It is even more irresponsible for her to go out to all these places now because of increasing her risk of covid infection and as she is going to the hospital and inside the NICU everyday where other vulnerable babies are, she could transmit it to them or the medical staff they depend on. I don't understand why she isn't being as cautious as before

It is very hypocritical that she'll talk about everything to do with her ADHD and pregnancy (under the guise, "I love watching this content therefore I'm doing a public service to others.") but says nothing to do with her ED. She is doing nothing to help the stigma attached to EDs by pretending she hasn't got one when she clearly has

I wonder if she’s in denial for the ED. She keeps saying “I’m just a skinny girl naturally” and “these are the societal expectations” and both of these statements are very typical for someone with ED that she jeeps “secret”.

But then she’s constantly in therapy, it will be crazy if nobody has discussed this with her…

I think she knows she has an ED. I also think she knows that the symptoms of an ED are more than physical appearance, they are behavioural too. I think she knows in order to protect her habits and deter criticism she ensures she includes food content and when that food is always something like apple sauce and a batch of cookies she knows to caveat the obviously-not-a-real meal with it being a "craving" for example. I think she gets defensive about any criticism about her physical appearance because she's scared someone would have her change her behaviours and her behaviours are her control and comfort but it is her behaviours that illustrate her ED struggles, not necessarily her size.

Great thread! I’m just a lurker for the most part but just wanted to jump in and say that I think the names Maisy and Wesley are so cute! Especially paired together! One of my favorite directors is Wes Craven (rest in peace). Full first name was Wesley but everyone called him Wes. Aside from being a great director I found him to be such a gentle yet strong man and I always thought it was a great name. I personally would not name my daughter Maisy (as cute as the name is) but I take into account the whole theatrical vibe of Colleen’s life, her family, and I think the names just come to you once you meet your children face to face- their little personalities show in different ways and I think the names she chose are perfect for the twins.

God bless them. Twins are Hard. And a blessing! My cousin had twins and she said her and her husband hardly remember the first year of the twins lives because they were so tired- and they had a ton of help. And they didn’t even have to run around after other children, the twins were their only two but the sleep deprivation was horrid. She said parenthood became easier when they were about 3 or 4. Now they’re 14 years old and are just awesome kids!

I really hope theyre using this time while the twins are in the NICU to potty train Flynn. Once the twins are home I cant see them having time.
Flynn seems quite switched on so im suprised he is still in nappies.

At some point, kids are itching to learn to use the potty, because it's not pleasant using nappies. I'm surprised he's very nearly 3 and hasn't shown any interest yet. His speech and language is quite delayed, so maybe his desire to be potty trained is too.

Yes, what’s up with his speech? She called it his “accent” but something about it is strange for a child who’s nearly 3… or maybe it’s anxiety from the camera that she constantly records him with :(

I trained as a speech pathologist, and his speech and language abilities are definitely concerning. I would be expecting a 3 year old to speak in full sentences with reasonably correct grammar, but he isn't - at least not on camera. His speech is pretty unclear, which wasn't helped by Colleen reinforcing pronunciations like 'dar-dar' for car. He also has really unusual intonation - like he's asking a question every time he speaks.
