Lol that just means Clancy should call it off thenhere’s proof he hasn’t called off the engagement yet
This does not surprise me, she was calling things 'ghetto' for years before being pulled up on it in her comment section. In the most recent vlog she said 'you would think I grew up poor' before the damage limitation line 'not that there is anything wrong with that'. As you said completely tone deaf!So thirty minutes of Clancy complaining about having TWO WEEKS OF PAID VACATION? My looooord.
ETA: (because I have to watch the vlogs in bits and pieces for my sanity sometimes). Clancy being like “omg, I said February is my least favourite month and a coworker said it was offensive because it’s black history month!!!” came off as so victim-y. Damn. Maybe don’t say stuff like that…? You’d think a news reporter of all people would know about BHM. Talk about tone deaf.
They are certainly an odd couple. Clancy mentioned when she was younger she doesn't have a type but that her partner would need to be intelligent/interested/able to discuss current issues. I don't see that in Zac unless she meant the latest reality trash tv dating show. Its kind of surprising how insecure she is considering how perfect she likes to act all the time..I wouldn't say something like 'can't believe you haven't broken up with me yet' if I had a bf. That's just speaking as if you really will break up eventually. Does anyone even know anything about Zac? His whole deal comes off shady..

It's good to get an insiders perspective. The one thing I can't work out is why book the wedding venue locally if planning to move? I have to say if she becomes a full time influencer I'll be unsubbing as that last video was painful enough and that’s without being subjected to a load of ads. Also Zac has no personality!^^^^ vlogwatcher33 you have a good point! I didn't even put two and two together but I think you are on to something.
I actually started watching Clancy because I was a former TV news reporter. Like me, there are a TON of other people leaving the business. There are many articles online if you search the "great resignation of TV news." It's an industry where you're severely overworked/underpaid and it is not a very family friend career (which I'm sure that's something she wants someday). Also, TV news reporters sign a two-year contract, and once that's up, it's time to move again! It makes it so hard to get settled in one area.
Getting up at 1 am every day sucks. If they have kids one day, it's going to be very tricky. There are a lot of journalists who are going into Public Relations for better work-life balance. That's what I did!
I guess time will tell. But with her 2-year contract ending in April, selling work dresses, etc. makes me very suspicious!
This is such an interesting and insightful post! Thank you.^^^^ vlogwatcher33 you have a good point! I didn't even put two and two together but I think you are on to something.

^^ Also, to HairyBerries point I think her mom DEFINITELY had a hand in helping her start off in Journalism.
What Clancy never talks about is how she is beyond privileged that she started off in Dayton. For reference, there are about 210 TV news markets in America with New York being #1 and Glendive, MT is 210. Cincinnati is 36. Dayton is 64 and usually, all on-air TV reporters fresh out of college start off in at LEAST market 100 or higher! Making $24k a year. No joke!
So she basically climbed her way to the top, without earning her chops. Also, she had a photographer in Dayton which is unheard of for your first TV market! I lugged a 30 lb camera around for my first TV gig making no money! I was a multimedia journalist or "MMJ" so I was the reporter, photographer, producer all in one! Like the girl Clancy showed getting hit by a car on live, TV, "Tori Yorgey" – basically every newbie is sent out solo to run their own live shot.
I wish she addressed how lucky she is, to start off in Dayton...
