So do I but that's also because generally comes straight from stock so is still wrapped and no one has had their grubby little hands on it or tried it on.

Hey all. I do need to catch up, but after seeing the many mentions of the M&S cookies on here, I wanted to give them a try. I couldn’t get to M&S today but did visit Tesco (sorry to mention an M&S rival here 🫣)
I got these, and whilst they are shortbread not cookies, and therefore a lot smaller, I did try the 20 seconds in a microwave trick and they taste amazing
. Slightly spiced and gingery, and my kitchen smells amazing.

I've been recommended this. I looked up the stores and the ones in my area seem to be in libraries. Stuff seems to be selling fast as I can't see the calendar for £5 that I liked. Might be in the library though.

Does anyone know of a good, cheap Christmas tree stand?
The Krinner one on B&Q has so many good reviews, but it's £42. Maybe it's worth spending the money as it will probably be the only tree stand I'll ever have if it's as good as the reviews say! But surely there's cheaper makes that are just as good?

Have you got a B&M near you? You could get a fairly cheap one & maybe buy a wicker tree skirt to hide it.
I have! I'm more worried about having to faff and saw the base of the tree to fit into a cheap holder as I've seen my dad do it many times! And then the family cat makes the tree fall over anyway

A bucket of sand if it's a real one. That's what my family always used until we went fake. We had to bolt the telly to the wall as my toddler brother usually ended up lying under it. He never managed it with the tree in a bucket of sand.

I do not recommend the Ideal Bome Show Xmas expo. For those who plan on going it’s rit. Rather plan something else for a day out in London or stay home!
I concur. I've just got back from it and it was just full of tat. Some odd Chritsmassy bits but not much. Food stalls were rubbish and it was all the usual kitchen gadgets. One cheese stall and that was very poor. Glad the tickets were free. I won't bother again.
I agree. My friend said people paid £27! I’d be fuming if I paid that for it. I was annoyed enough and it was free
It was odd. Loads of random stalls from charities trying to sign you up like Cats Protection League, RBL, Macmillan etc etc , some sofa's, teeth whitening ... really weird stuff. I did buy some chutney from The Carved Angel stall because their stuff is lovely but honestly, I didn't spend £20 it was that poor.I agree. My friend said people paid £27!
