I think Chidera clearly hates white people and just sees them as a monolith and we've all done awful things and owe black people money.
Now I'm fully aware of white privilege and the fact that we live in a racist society and that white people and white passing people like myself have it much easier. We have a role in making sure this changes! But white privilege does not mean that we cannot challenge black people because guess what? People of all races can be horrible people and do horrible things. We should not give people a free pass to be awful because of their race, thatsmsdness, disagreeing with a black person does not make you racist!

Totally agree with everything you lovely people have said. Haven't much to add myself except to echo what someone said about Chidera's ageism towards Aja and Stephanie combined with a healthy dose of misogynoir (for anyone who doesn't know, "Aunty" is what you call your Black female elders - typically refers to a Black woman who is middle aged or older - normally used lovingly or at least tongue in cheek but here Chidera is using it as an insult). She's not just insulting them for being older than her, but for being older Black females.

Honestly, how tf can all these white girls not see how racist Chidera is against any Black person who dares stand against her?! "C**n", "Aunty", these are all racialised terms she's flinging around, it's honestly disgusting.

I think Munroe posted recently about coming "back to work" after taking a few weeks off to enjoy Xmas and recover from surgery. Seems this has been one of the first things she's posted about/ dealt with since being back on social media full time, it must have been eating her up over her break, the sheer amount of abuse. And it only took one big influencer speaking openly, soberly and candidly about this situation (and actually naming names and daring to publicly support FG and DB, rather than solely condemning CE with no mention of the accused parties), for the others to speak up in a more open and direct way. We love to see it!

I really think someone in Chidera's life needs to confiscate her phone and her WiFi router lol. She needs some time offline to reflect instead of constantly reacting and antagonizing people online. It's like she's addicted to the dopamine hit every time she stirs the pot. But my god, when the money from this rush of white-guilt-driven book sales starts to run dry, and when she realises she's completely trashed her own reputation and has no career left to speak of.... It's gonna be really bleak and sad for her.

If Chidera showed any remorse or apologised to everyone she's hurt, I might even feel sorry for her - she's a young woman who got rich and famous way too quickly and clearly couldn't handle the power that brought, and didn't have good people around her to help her see sense. When the anger burns out she's going to be very panicked about burning all of her bridges, I am sure. She's kind of backed herself into a corner where she's got no option but to keep exploiting white guilt if she wants to keep the £££ flowing in. So that makes her even less likely to change her narrative.

As fucked as she's been, I really hope that Chidera doesn't end up as a victim of cancel culture here. She's young and deserves the opportunity to redeem herself. Maybe it'd help teach her not to go on big cancelling witch hunts as well, and to extend grace to people, or at least follow proper routes for dispute resolution (especially where money's involved).

But if she can't do that then I 100% wanna see Florence get an injunction against her and/ or sue. Munroe and Diving Bell too!

After time away and being able to recover from the exhaustion of it all, she sees she was wrong to go about things how she was. All she ever wanted was to fight for herself in a way that she doesn't think those around her supported her.
She's donating all of the reparative ££ to charities that work with the community and hopes that she can be an example of what happens left to fight for what one believes to be true, alone against the world

We can dream!! :') although I feel like she'd also have a lot of personal making-up to do for Florence and Munroe. Like, if I was either of them I wouldn't just take that and be satisfied but then, they are probably both a lot more mature and composed than I lmao.

Also has anyone else noticed the ringing SILENCE from loudbossygross on this topic in recent weeks!! Ever since she got called out on Florence's Tattle thread for profiteering off this situation, she's avoided it like the plague. I'm sure a lot of people are still DMing her their hot takes as this unfolds but she's not sharing them and instead sticking to unrelated topics about the "unskilled labour" label

Chidera is SO naive if she thinks all her white donors are also offering "reparations" to the Black people in their real lives. No hun, it's performative activism assuaging white guilt. It probably never even occurred to them to so much as buy a pint for their broke Black mate, yet they're all too happy to fling cash at a wealthy woman who lives in a stunning flat in London (see CE's Skillshare ad to see the flat).

But yeah most of these white people will never give reparations a second thought after this, and will definitely not be donating to Black causes and charities on the reg (without shouting about it ofc lmao).

Also cannot stand the “she’s not black enough to talk about black issues”, SF talks slavery and she is not from slaves. Indigenous Australians had the black bred out of them in a systematic genocide. In this instance I think Slumflower is cancelling herself. For weeks now she's been burning bridges all over by making accusations and everyone has been biting their lips waiting for her to go away. People gave her enough chance to stop posting and she didn't so now she's facing the consequences of making these false accusations. No one cancelled her, she cancelled herself.

Aja's comment sections are always full of people trying to look woke by 'calling people out' about tit, it's tiresome. All this achieves is a pile-on, lots of people getting on their high horse (as if they've never said or done anything wrong), and the other side being overly apologetic and submissive. I’m really curious about how this is all going to end. Even with a number of prominent members of the black community on insta/twitter speaking out against Chidera’s actions, so many of the white women who’ve been emboldened by Chidera are now attacking Aja, and especially Munro even more. There’s many white women on twitter who think it’s their place to question the opinions of black women who know Florence and Chidera personally. They have zero critical thinking skills and fail to see that in their aggressive defence of Slumflower, they are the ones who are now gaslighting black women.

Chidera is not backing down and is continuing to use highly emotive and manipulative language. she’s becoming further entrenched in this narrative of all these black women being afraid to speak out. People like Munroe and Aja have always been bold and outspoken on issues of race and gender - Munroe dealt with all that backlash from L’Oréal and didn’t waiver. She literally took on one of the biggest corporations in the world and Slumflower thinks she’s afraid to speak out because of a 21 year old white woman?

I don’t think an injunction would make her stop at this point because she’s so determined to continue to peddle this narrative. And nobody else can move on and carry on with their work while this happens.

I also agree with the posts above. She has cancelled herself! In the beginning of this I actually was more on CE side due to having the books and following her for some time.
I did believe the thoughts that FG did copy her book but the more this has dragged it’s probably not the case.

To the person who said CE hates white people at this point I reckon she hates anyone who isn’t adoring her or backing her points. Black white asian etc, straight, gay the lot!

I can’t believe what’s happening and how she’s doubled down on her anti white and now anti black thoughts.

1) it fuckkkks me all the way off that she’s now gatekeeping race - that lady is light skinned and therefore could never speak on the issue of racism, what? By society’s levels she is not seen as a white person, she’s seen as a black person. It’s not up for Chidera to police.

2) The facts have been shared! She’s been begging and baiting these people to speak up in her defence and now they haven’t and defended a personal friend it’s all bullshit and white supremacy? Florence has addressed the issue, Florence has confirmed that no one brought ad space and that seems to be forgotten about. She handed in notice with diving bell and they asked if she agreed to terminate a week early because of her negative connotations of them in mainstream media, she didn’t have to accept.

3) Why is everyone stressing and saying that black minds matter have been forced to not accept donations because of Chidera? All I saw was a charity come out as biased and back someone without the facts and figures and shout themselves in the foot when they should have been focusing on fundraising and providing education on mental health.

4) Why is she just sharing incoherent rants by white feminists instead of her own thoughts? How are they skipping over the racial slurs, the ageist and bigoted comments she makes about white people? I’m baffled at how bullying and harassing someone tagging them in aggressive stories and pretending to be naive enough that she doesn’t know that thousands will be those people’s inbox’s throwing abuse and making their life hell.

Chidera is not judge jury and executioner, Florence has saw independent legal advice as I suggest she do considering the amount she earns and it’s still not good enough. I might be wrong, but I feel like power has gone to Chidera’s head a bit - people listen to her, she has influence, she is now used to saying something and having her loyal followers agree in unison.

I don’t mean that nastily, because it happens to a lot of people, and influence is particularly difficult to navigate when you’re young and especially if you are of a position where you previously had none... but to me, there are definite signs that Chidera has locked herself mentally into an echo chamber where she is the top dog, and nobody else has anything of note to say, unless they’re supporting her.

I think that, possibly fueled by the very legitimate hurt she will have felt at being outsold by Florence (just another reminder of our racist society that doesn’t value her as highly as a white woman), has kind of set her off on this path... and now she can’t back down.
