I can actually believe that ie still sleeping on mattress on floor She mentioned someone was supposed to be doing something to the wall in the master in some dreamy blue shade but that was what, 6 months ago now or maybe more. Probably decided against it as she needed to buy her Chanel hence nothing room-wise to show.

I definitely remember she said her mom is going to build the bed-frame for her. In few of the videos her mom is in, she definitely look like she is in her 60s, if not late 50s. Considering her age, I personally would feel uneasy asking a family member of that age to do projects that are physical. Considering how much she "helped" Dan by spraying painting her closet hardware gold and vlogged I doubt she is much of a help. Now that would've been a good video series of her working with Dan and her mom in doing house renovations and decorating. Instead of hiring contractors to do major renovation jobs, she ask and expect free labour from family. Some have pointed out, the closet doesn't seem well finished; understandably, Dan is not a carpenter so his work is not going to be perfect, but that's where professionals come in. Yes they are expensive, but so are dozens of designer bags that are at least 2000 pounds, not to mention the uncomfortable designer heels.

Also, I don't know if you guys recall her wedding video. She literally had her entire family, her in-laws, and her friends to build the canopy for her reception for the entire week before and on the wedding! If people who are willing to travel to my destination wedding, the last thing I would expect them to do is manual labour, especially somewhere like the South of France. Not to mention money to attend a wedding, but even painstakingly saving up leave and get it approved is a lot to ask. I know in the UK, you get about 6 weeks of annual leave? If I spend 1/6 free days of allocated annual leave to do free labour for someone else because they do not want to hire a professional, I would be livid. I live in Australia so we get 4 weeks of leave, it takes me 2 full-time work week to save up 1 day for leave, that means I have to work for 10 weeks for a week off, and my workplace is considered quite generous with leave.

There was another YouTuber, who is not in the fashion or luxury space, had her wedding at the South of France, they rented a chateau near the town where her husband's family are from for a week and that's where the guests stayed for free and just spent time together by relaxing or taking day trips for that week. That to me is destination wedding done right. Where you and your loved ones are all in one place and spend time together because as we get older, it gets harder and harder.

I probably won’t explain that very well but what I find odd with her is she speaks and acts like she’s very middle class, coming from a nice family, having well to do friends and such, but in her photos she has to get the bag logo in etc like the girls from TOWIE do (the only way is Essex for those not in the U.K.), she screams new money chav in some photos. Doesn’t make sense to me, like which are you?

Amie is selfish. Everything is about her. A destination wedding is a chance for everyone to get together and have fun. She doesn't know what fun is.

Granted, I thought it looked beautiful, but that is A LOT of work to put upon your friends and family. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that it might not just be her who wanted to be that elaborate, but since wedding day is traditionally thought of as the day for the bride, I would have insisted for the set up to be simpler in order for everyone to enjoy themselves rather using them as free labour.

I thought asking your family to help would be stuffing invitations, help you get dressed or fix your hair, make up and wedding dress on the day and also diffuse tensions and help to control your guests that got too drunk. The biggest favour I know someone did was baked a 3-tier wedding cake for free because she was the maid of honor and a professional pastry chef.

-I remember her mom made the cake for the engagement party as well. Didn't think anything of it at the time, but it does seem like she has a pattern of getting her family to do different tasks for her. Again, she doesn't want to spend the money for services but willingly buys the same Chanel bag in different colors.

-On her IG trying to show that she reads, I never forgot that she gave such a nondescript book review in one of her Current Favorites. "If you're going through a hard time at work or anything really, it's more inspirational that other business-type books. Absolutely fantastic, just the best book." Ok, WHY is it the best book?? How did you use the information in said book in your work? No depth or any discernible point of view, much like how she reviews all of her purchases.

The only words in Amie’s vocabulary are “I absolutely love it” or “It’s absolutely beautiful”.
If you gave her any book right now, she’d tell you it’s the best book ever. Just like her bags. Every one was the best one ever and she loved it but she sold it a month later. She probably likes the cover on the book hence why it’s great. Shes all about appearance, not a single shred of substance.

I finally managed to finish watching her newest video. I just want to say a few things: (1) Those puffy tops are hideous - it would look atrocious on most women I think unless you're a teen (and a skinny one at that), (2) that ruffled black and dress from Nordstrom is way too small for her, (3) I bet she'll be selling that Gucci Dionysus Super mini in 3 months. I've watched a lot of reviews on Super Mini and everyone says it's too small and not practical. Everyone preferred the Dionysus Mini instead as it was more practical. Since Amie sold her Dionysus Mini already, I'm willing to bet she'll sell the super mini as well.

She really doesn’t get out much. It’s embarrassing.

Haha. I googled Zizzi's and it is a chain Italian restaurant but the menu does look yummy! Way better than the Italian chains here in North America (the Olive Garden is terrible). But Zizzi's in the end is a chain restaurant and it's not unique or special and perhaps doesn't warrant Amie getting all decked out in designer gear. I don't think Amie is all that creative or original when it comes to doing research on places to go.

I'm a major foodie and I'd do research on cool restaurants in my area or when I go travelling.

Haha, in the midst of lockdown, when we were all wearing sweatpants all day everyday, I thought "When we get out of this, I'm going to show up at Target in a freaking ballgown". But it turns out I'm still lazy and have a hard time getting dressed for anything.

yes i think the point is, noone gets glammed up to go to a local restaurant chain, and certainly one wouldn’t carry on taking instagram pics of “happy hour”. if she wanted to get dressed up for the occasion, why not go to an actual restaurant? just goes to show how tacky/uncultured she is - dressed to the nines while her company (Dan) is wearing normal casual clothes

It really bothers me that she continues to take ootd and fashion photos in her living room and gets the kitchen in the background shots, it’s so lazy and non aspirational like an average joe taking a photo of their outfit to show their friend. She gave up her job for this. Couldn’t she turn one of the weird angled box room bedrooms into a nice area to take pictures with a neutral backdrop or go outside or something?

She’s clearly very proud of her living room hence the numerous pics taken in there but when you have botched jobs it just makes the house feel tatty. Wardrobe drawers not lining up properly, gaps in skirting boards, missing doors from toilets and now the botched wiring job just scream cheap and tacky house interiors. No thanks!! I’d rather have fewer luxe bags but quality home furnishings.
The track on the living room floor to hide the wiring is so wrong and shows the lack of wiring available for one of the walls. Evidence of a cheap build. Can you imagine seeing it EVERY time you walk up and down the step?? Would drive me nuts if I wanted my living room to look perfect as I’m sure Amie does!
I thought I’d have some fun and do a complication of Amie and her ‘Hey - look at my designer gear just in case you didn’t realise I can afford them ….I live for logos’. She must be so proud of herself.

What a profound lack of imagination. Cami, belt, midi skirt. Cami, belt, midi skirt. Rinse and repeat. The belts take the outfits from boring to downright bad, but she keeps doing it because it’s the laziest “style” tip out there (“Show off your waist!”) and of course it’s another opportunity to show off a tacky logo.
