She is always on high alert. She said she didn't see anone at breakfast. Yeah right. If you have security, what are the odds of you not knowing what your security is doing when you're having breakfast. And a security guard knows a threat when they see one. A kid isn't one

I think that this is so not the first time something like this has happened. She doesn't care about fans, either an adult or a kid. She only cares about herself. And because she only thinks about herself, being an allmighty superstar and all, she could never have imagined that a non celeb, a kid even, could have their own platform. Like Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman: big mistake, huge!

I know that fans don't do a deep dive because they are biased but hot damn honey, she didn't have to sweep anything under the rug if she just got off her high horse, met up with the kid, gave her a hug, a shirt an an autograph. But instead she stayed on that high horse, rode into the sunset claiming that she doesn't play around her breakfast and didn't know her security

If you make a judgement call and it ends up being a calm interaction, why is the kid crying? And if you're a bodyguard you know you can gently push aside a kid. Why go up to the mum, reprimand her and let your paycheck out of sight. That's not what you should do, what you're paid to do or something I ever saw a bodyguard do

And being the suspicious Sally that I am, now I'm wondering what little miss Chappie is hiding. There's a lot of misdirection and finger pointing over absolutely nothing, which usually means there's far more important, darker business to obfuscate.

I don't know if I'm missing something about Chappell Roan's behaviour? Has she done things I don't know about, or am I just agreeing with her because I'm also a diva witch?

I believe her that she didn't know what the bodyguard was doing, especially after what the bodyguard has now said.

I've seen her telling fans and paparazzi to not follow her when she's just out living her life not doing performance things. I get that she wanted to be famous and should expect that that involves being followed. But she's still allowed to not enjoy it and tell people to leave her alone, imo?

I remember her first statement that she didn't like people coming up to her in public acting like they're BFFs when she doesn't know them. I think that's the difference between being aware that that's what happens to celebrities, but she still doesn't have to enjoy it. I don't think asking people to not follow her is particularly rude, even if it's also not a realistic expectation. I don't even find her demeanor rude, I think she just isn't sweet and appeasing, like society wants young women to be.

J-Lo and Dr Phil and Mariah Carey are all documented as demanding that people don’t look them in the eye.

Mike Myers is one of those, he demands to be recognized but then throws a tantrum when that happens. He wants both bowing and scraping and to be ignored, which seems to be the standard with these kind of assholes. Mike certainly lost all my fandom with his behavior.

It was very disappointing, and I've heard of many of these sorts of interactions with him, iirc he was living in NYC for a while (may still be) and found he wasn't getting the proper worship and deference from the locals. New Yorkers aren't easy to impress, and they tend to see plenty of famous people moving about the city so they don't really react the way other places would.

To add a nice note, David Bowie was also in NYC quite often, and he was a total gem according to what I've heard. He was quiet and unassuming, and very gracious.

Her behaviour is strange indeed, but cant help but notice double standards among celebs.. Men can be convicted criminals and go on with their careers.. With Chappell? Even if everything is true, the worst you can say about her - that she is a major b*tch, and she is being cancelled and forbidden to go places.. Or did Brazil also forbit Chris Brown to perform?
