The 'apology' is a video of her in bed, not even bothering to sit up as she yaps making excuses so she clearly didn't think it was a big deal. She had a brilliant debut single a couple of years ago, Good Luck, Babe! She emerged around the same time as a lot of other pop girls (Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, etc). Her USP, I guess, is that she's gay and sings about loving women; also, she has a Lady Gaga-esque attraction to fancy dress. The downside is that she doesn't like being a public person, which is a bit tricky if you're a female singer who releases big pop bangers and wears clown makeup. I really like her, but she's deeply standoffish.

I mean, yeah I get it, anyone should be allowed boundaries and to eat in peace. But you absolutely cannot demand fame and adoration from people to then be outraged they dare to look at you in public. Totally understandable if the girl had bothered her mid mouthful of coco pops asking for a selfie and autograph, but to double down about it and send security simply because the girl looked at her is utterly ridiculous.
If she doesn’t want fame and recognition then don’t have such a public facing job? Don’t literally rely on the public to buy your music and concert tickets and stream your music? It works both ways.
It’s great we’re now in a better place with understanding boundaries but some people, confuse boundaries with control. Whether that’s accidental or intentional.

I can’t help but think of the the one security guard at the Eras tour that Swift had to stop from being rude to a fan for no reason and the next day signs about being nice appeared everywhere as a reminder to security at the events. Like… whatever your opinion of Swift is the PR play around these things is so easy

She was even at the same hotel, one DM and she could have met the kid and smoothed everything over. Would have taken 5 minutes of her time which even she could grin and bear.
