Chappell's cocked up now, she's sent her security after an 11 year old because the kid walked past her table and looked at her without approaching or speaking to her. Said 11 year old is the daughter of Jude Law, and the step daughter of one of Brazil's top footballers who's posted about it:

"I lived a very sad situation with my family earlier.

My wife is in São Paulo for Lollapalooza Brazil. This morning, my daughter woke up extremely excited, she even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist that she admires, or admired, greatly. Chappell Roan.

By coincidence, they are staying in the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist passed by their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her and was excited, and wanted to make sure that it was her.

And do you know what's worse, she didn't even approached the artist. She simply walked past the singer's table, looked at her to confirm it was her, smiled and returned to the table with her mother. She didn't said anything, nor did she asked for anything.

What happened afterwards was completely disproportionate. A big security man went to their table while they were having breakfast and started to speak in an extremely aggressive manner to my wife and daughter, saying that she shouldn't allow my daughter to "disrespect" or "harass" other people.

Sincerely, I don't know how walking past a table and looking at someone can be considered harassment. Then, he said he would file a complaint against them in the hotel, while my 11 year old daughter cried in the table. My daughter was very scared and cried a lot.

I have lived for many years with football, with exposure, with famous people, and I know very well what is respect and limit. What happened there wasn't it. It was merely a child admiring someone. It's sad to see this kind of treatment coming from someone who should understand the worth that fans have. In the end, they are the ones who build everything.

I sincerely hope that this serves as a reflection. No one should have to experience this, let alone a child.

yeah they’re annoying little people but you don't go out of their way to scare them like that or generally just be disrespectful to them. Give them a smile, give them a wave and move on with your breakfast even if they’re somehow being brats

I think part of the issue with her, is that she has been marketed as something she isn't. She was pushed as if she was some highly intelligent and political thinking character. She wasn't being rude, she was setting boundaries etc etc.

( also there was a lot of claims of her doing drag/being inspired by drag. I find it suspicious that that there doesn't seem to be any proof of her doing this pre career)

When she speaks on any particular issue, she is no more informed than the average person in the street.

She writes some good bops and is a great performer, but her image is causing massive issues and turning people against her.

She keeps kicking off at people recognising her in public, but the majority of the time she was at an event where photographers are expected or she was out and about but dressed in a very recognisable way. In one of the videos I saw, she had a ridiculous looking headscarf on like a 1950s film star wears in a convertible, so of course it drew attention to her.

When Gaga wants photos she goes about in an outrageous outfit. If she went out in jeans and with her hair in a messy bun, no one would notice her. She had even said that if people have a picture of her, it is because she wanted to be seen.

Saw someone on Reddit say that their drag friend opened for her before she got famous and Chappell was extremely disrespectful

She's just responded to the story - to me it basically sounds like "I wasn't aware of what my/not my (?) security was doing and they must have just assumed you were doing something wrong when you weren't"

Which seems like a bit of a non-response to me/trying to deflect any responsibility. Security doesn't just go off the rails like this, and if they have then she needs to have a serious look at what has gone wrong

She's now spoken and said that it wasn't her security, that she didn't see the kid and therefore wasn't bothered by her and she's sorry that someone assumed.

Given her history of being an a I don't believe it one bit. Why would a random security guard go and berate an 11 year old guest at the hotel?
