Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like she’s not just standing up for herself but in doing so she’s standing up for other female artists. I’m sure they’ve all experienced aggressive and rude paps before but as women we are told to laugh it off.

I don't know much about her tbh but in that video is she in drag? I don't get the whole drag thing at all but I think it's because I'm not well enough informed about it. When she's preforming is she always in drag? Do other female artists do that? It's doesn't look like drag to me. It just looks like weird makeup.

This isn't standing up for other female artists. Instead she's taken all the attention off the event she was at - where she was supposed to be supporting her fellow female artist Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS premiere.

Her and Olivia are friends, I’d support my friend standing up for herself at one of my events and I’m sure Olivia probably understands more than we do how aggressive paps can be.

Whenever I’ve worked in customer service I have been told you warn the customer that you will not tolerate aggression and if they continue you won’t carry on the conversation. If the calls are recorded then they can listen to it back and and verify that you tried.

Honestly, all you’re doing is making me feel bad for you and think that you don’t have enough self-worth. You shouldn’t have to put up with being abused at work in ANY position.

I don't live or work in the UK, but good to know. Alas, I live in a country that just elected a convicted felon and known sexual abuser by a landslide so I don't foresee anything changing anytime soon. But I did appreciate the laugh!

Being let go from Kim Kardashian’s team after the robbery isn’t a bih a deal as it sounds. She didn’t blame them for tje robbery, but she wanted a beefed up security team of armed former secret service agents rather than just dumb muscly guys so they were let go.

I believe him, I think the little girl was being brattyand repeatedly interrupting people’s breakfasts and so he nipped it in the bud after seeing it before. She just sounds so spoilt and entitled, going to Lolapalooza at her age and staying in the Pink Pony Club and being so indignant she was asked to behave that she reused to watch the show her parents had paid for her to see and got another expensive night out full of treats.

Also, remember the lesson of the Alice Evans thread. The more you exaggerate and embellish the story, the more they pay you.

I’m not staniding up for Chappell Roan, I believe you all thay she’s a horror. But when a situation gets to the point where someone else’s security guard needs to step in and have a word, you know something has gone on.

Yeah the mum seems like a pain in the arse, I'm sure there probably is more to it.

I have some sympathy for her - suddenly becoming famous can be very hard to deal with. A friend of mine was in a 90s pop band that was pretty successful, and didn't expect to be recognised so much being quite a shy person - she was quite glad when it all ended.

But maybe wearing outlandish costumes and seeking an even wider audience by doing the VMAs instead of doing shows isn't the way to go about it all.

It would be quite easy for her to just release music and have no photos of her or any videos to promote them, for example.

She’s had problems with fans being weird in person when she’s not wanting to be a celeb. That’s what the IG stories were about

Her problems with paps appear to be limited to work events at the moment. Granted, most celebrities have managed to get working relationships with paps and aren’t followed 24/7 like they were a decade or so ago. Seemingly her included because despite being at the top of her game there seems to have not been any “spotted” pics of her

Me, I have experience that is the reality and if it’s not then that’s on them, you should expect or tolerate abuse at work and if your employer expects you to then you should know your worth and go somewhere that will protect you.

this all started because I said paparazzi are known to goad celebrities, people were sticking up for the paparazzi and trying to say they’re just doing their job, I highlighted that paparazzi are quite frankly, scum.

She shouldn’t have to tolerate abuse on the red carpet, good on her for having self worth which other people clearly lack.

Man, we live in different worlds. I can't refuse to serve a customer or a patient, I'll be fired. I've absolutely been followed home by angry customers. I've been hit, spat on, called names, punched, cursed, and threatened. And I'm not paid nearly as well as this woman is. She's becoming a professional victim and it's exhausting. I've been a fan of her for literally probably five years and I'm pretty much done at this point.

I hope you find a job that looks after your wellbeing soon. This isn’t the norm unfortunately, I’ve had plenty of jobs and never had to put up with that shit, I wouldn’t for any money in the world either.

He told another pap to fuck off months ago, Chappell decided to square up to him on sight this time. She's taken all of Olivia's headlines.

I don’t have the details as I wasn’t there but it’s well known that paparazzi are aggressive and antagonise female celebrities to make them look crazy. It’s always been that way. They get the ump if you don’t give them the shot they want.

Even this IG comments comment thing is just journalists reporting on what is industry news and was rumoured like a month back

I know that, my example was more to highlight that we get to clocks out of our jobs and celebrities are expected to be on shift whenever they’re out of the house which can add to their frustration.
