I don't know from what countries you are, but Im from Lithuania myself, here we have thousands of Ukraine refugees coming every day and a lot of people are offering their homes to them for free. One of them are Ievas parents. Anyway, later Ieva updated in her stories, that woman with 6 kids are moving to other place and they will have new family coming soon to live with them.
I think it's the same all over Europe right now. Every country is doing their best to provide help for refugees, and many people are opening their private homes to people from Ukraine.

I think the refugees will be distributed equally among European countries. No one expects Poland to shoulder the entire load. But of course people end up in neighboring countries first. I also think Ukrainian refugees will want to return to their country once it is safe, which many refugees from other countries don't, they want to stay in Europe. But first it's going to be a lot of work for everyone. This bleeping war has to end. There is already so much damage. It is going to take decades to repair all the infrastructure that has been destroyed. And people are going to be traumatized for generations. I can't believe history repeats itself like this. I hate it. And I really hope Putin doesn't completely lose it and decides to use nuclear weapons even without provocation. I think we can manage all challenges as a collective of western countries, except for a nuclear war or nuclear power plant accident.
Don't get me started on nuclear plant accident. I was one year old when Chernobyl happened, five years ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and I went through thyroidectomy, no other member in my family had thyroid cancer. I made genetic tests and nothing so the doctors blame Chernobyl. I know that this is topic about Ieva but I will tell you one thing: this is the first time in my life when I regret that I didn't left my country to live in UK or any another english speaking country. When I was finishing high school A LOT of my friends went to live in UK/Ireland/Scotland/Norway, I stayed because I was living comfortably and I didn't need more money as they needed but money will not protect you when you live in the "wrong" country in terms of geography. I don't know, maybe it's stupid, but I would feel more safe in UK than I feel living in Poland. Can't imagine what will happen if Putin uses nuclear weapon. It boggles my mind what's happening tu Ukrainian people, I didn't think war was possible in 2022 in Europe and to think that our biggest problem one year ago was COVID... I thought that after COVID with vaccines we will go back to safe reality and here we are. Stay safe guys!

Totally feel you, I was conceived right before Chernobyl happened and I have thyroid problems now too, my endocrinologists did say it's probably because of Chernobyl and me being born quite close to it. I moved to UK now, but my parents and grandparents are still back home, so me being here doesn't remove that worry. Plus I moved to London, which will be the first target if anything happens
My parents can quickly move here, but my grandmas - not so much, both in their 80s now. And my parents wouldn't abandon them, so they would stay behind.Today she wrote that Russia needs to be destroyed forever. She keeps saying things against Russians and Russia when she should be aware that it's Putin and Putin's regime that are the problem. Putin needs to go, not all of Russia and all of its people. Of course there are many Russians who are executing Putin's commands, but right in the beginning of this war we learned that even Russian soldiers sent into combat were lied to about the circumstances and what they were supposed to do. Many Russian people are not pro Putin, and even if they are, they are not necessarily for the invasion of Ukraine. And we should never underestimate propaganda. Even today, there are people in Germany who lived during the GDR regime who are still brainwashed by what they used to be taught. It's very difficult to let go of ideas that make up so much of your identity, even if they have been proven wrong and unjust. Ieva is being very forthright with her opinions about this war, which is fine, but she doesn't differentiate enough between Russians as a group and the people actually responsible for what is happening right now.
To add her Russian follower sent her a DM saying how they are against this war and please don't think this of the whole nation, which Ieva has shared on her stories for everyone to see only to follow with more anti-Russian propaganda. She found videos of some pensioners who have dementia and said they supported the war and used that as justification. What about 1000s of videos online of young people saying they do not support? What about the 100s of thousands of people who protest on the streets against this?!? She's an evil human being for using this war to promote her hatred for Russian people.
Oh god she’s trying so hard to be super woke today, after being so conservative all her life, it’s really hard to watch.
