Eshaan should have gone in the first episode, not the second. Chloe wasn't great but he undercooked meat TWICE which is dangerous. Rochenda is a candidate to win it like Craig was last week. She can cook for me any time. Everything she does looks good. Glad that Harry went through over Danielle. His jerk dish looked like it could be put on the menu at Turtle Bay.

They are soft on many of them and most don't cook. We want to see people who can cook and will to improve

But it's actually as close to normal Masterchef some of thrm are so good when they just arrive.
Though some professionals have appalling skills and training at the start but that makes it funny. As you are considered professional in whatever food setting your in be it a basic chef in a pub dining room or a fine dining michelin.
The judging is so tense and I always find in the finals they've all got the talent and they've got to have nerves of steel, a bit of luck and practice in what they choose to do as the downfall can be in ego or lack of technical ability at the final.
I'm absolutely sure the production people pick those ones to make the show more interesting. Sometimes I feel sorry for them, when we can tell they are capable but stressed or nervous, but sometimes we wonder how somebody can be a professional when they don't know how to make mayonnaise or fillet a fish.
Husband was saying about Luca Bish that obvs he makes more money from being a 'Love Island star' but he's actually got a real skill which he will hopefully keep so he can have a career once TV fame is over. Then it won't matter than he has the personality of a spoon.

Slightly sideways.. but was watching a repeat of Celebrity Bake Off: stand up to cancer and Jesy (formerly of Little Mix) was making a absolutely pigs ear of her pasty to the point that (on camera) Prue stepped in to help her. Wonder if this ever happens on Masterchef ? I can imagine Monica would but not John Torode or Marcus.
There’s a blind comedian who, I must confess, I’d never heard of. His attitude to the whole thing is so impressive. Never once uttered the phrase outside my comfort zone!
He was great, I really liked him. And Christine impressed me too, given her sensory/texture difficulties I think she did really well.
Jake is this week’s irritant. Says at the start he has 5 dishes he cooks for his family and then half way through says he never cooks for his family and friends as they get takeaway… The constant gurning in the background reminds me of Vicky P - wanting the attention at all times. Hope he’s out quickly!
