Slightly sideways.. but was watching a repeat of Celebrity Bake Off: stand up to cancer and Jesy (formerly of Little Mix) was making a absolutely pigs ear of her pasty to the point that (on camera) Prue stepped in to help her. Wonder if this ever happens on Masterchef ? I can imagine Monica would but not John Torode or Marcus.

I remember when Rylan was Bake off he was pissed off because he had managed to finish in the time given but everyone else was in such a mess they gave them an extra half an hour or so to produce something showable.

I reckon they must do that on Masterchef too especially with the celebrities. How many time do you see them say 'you have 30 seconds left' and a contestant still has stuff in the fryer. The next thing it's beautifully presented on a plate.

Jake is this week’s irritant. Says at the start he has 5 dishes he cooks for his family and then half way through says he never cooks for his family and friends as they get takeaway… The constant gurning in the background reminds me of Vicky P - wanting the attention at all times. Hope he’s out quickly!

I can’t remember who it was but last week there was a brief shot of one of the female contestants I think and John was whisking something in a bowl next to them so he was definitely helping but it wasn’t referenced in any way as it was the background of whoever was talking

Second week out of three that they have put through two men. There is a female shortage so far for the semi finals and newspapers will pick up on it

Even if you showed the spoilers I doubt anyone who care. It's absolutely boring but I watch it because I love food and cheering on Craig and I want to see Jake.
I can't imagine him being into cooking.

Yes you're right about John helping someone. It was in the celeb judges round I think. Never seen it before. Occasionally he'll say 'somethings burning mate' but that's it.

Watching now and no spoilers but Jake is so irritating. Cocky and self deprecating at the same time.

I felt like it would have been nice for us to see her develop her confidence and skills, but also I'm relieved for her as that must have been very stressful for her.

The only things I know about Jake are that he’ll do anything for fame, his father and brother died and his kid got trolled for looking like an old man. One episode in and he’s already mentioned the former. Anyone that says “squeaky bum time” is a no for me.

He thought she was in her late 40s early 50s and we both concluded she must’ve been referring to when she was in her 30s. No, she’s 36! Why do these women do it with all the filler, it’s like the more Z list, the more filler?!

When she was first with Paddy Mcguiness she was really pretty. Now she has that wierd large hard cheeked thing going on and odd mouth area. It's so aging and unattractive. What will all these women look like when they're about 50?

The biggest troll when it comes to his kid is him himself sharing inappropriate content online and he continues to repost the photo he claims was trolled over when he wants engagement

In episode 1 he claims he can only cook 5 dishes, then that he never cooks he orders takeaway instead of cooking and at the same time himself and his wife advertise Hello Fresh. He tends to forget his tall tales....When MC was recorded he took time off from the Full Monty and claimed his mental was at rock bottom and that was why he was MIA and let fans down.

I hate the way she does that walk when she walks down to John & Gregg when they are giving their taste verdicts. She seems to wiggle her way down likes she’s walking down a catwalk and has an air self-satisfaction about her. She also does that same wiggle walk on the way back to her station
