I'm glad Christine has gone. I'll be honest I'm a bit sick of the 'I'm autistic and out of my comfort zone' and ''My 3 kids are autistic' every 5 minutes. She was exactly the same on 'The Real Full Monty'. She seems nice enough though.

I did laugh when the voiceover said 'she became a household name when she starred in The Real Housewives of Cheshire'. No, she became a household name when she married Paddy.

Just caught up on all the episodes so had been avoiding the thread. Loved the look on Kem’s face when he went - he was not expecting that!

Agree with the comment re: the lattice roller. My bf said that he didn’t believe Joe had done the lattice pastry and I explained I’d done it in Home Economics at school when I was 12 - not sure why they were trying to make it into some dark art?

I could not bear Joe - from start to finish the most irritating celebrity they have ever had on the programme and they had Vicky Pattison FFS 😂 I cannot see how he ever came up with the concept of guinea fowl lollipops let alone knew how to prepare them.

I think think this year the celebrities have been the weakest in terms of food knowledge and experience, and therefore have probably had the most help from the home economist in terms of coming up with a menu for them, recipe sheets and assistance in techniques.

I have to say I paused the TV to go on a big expletive filled rant at just how deliberately messy Joe was being. Flinging food around for effect like a grinning idiot (crumble over the shoulder for luck) and not giving a flying fuck about who would have to clear it all up after he was done. As someone who has worked in TV I can tell you there will be a production assistant who will have been there from the crack of dawn to set up the studio/kitchen and they’ll not be able to leave until everything was clean and ready for the next day’s shooting. Given he has also worked in TV he knows this. I’m not sure I could have been around him with sharp knives so close to hand 🔪🩸

I can only pray that he runs out of reality shows to go on given he can’t act for toffee and he sinks into obscurity. There were so many people on this year’s series who were happy to show off how thick they were, wearing it like a badge of honour and deliberately playing up to it. Why is being a moron something to be celebrated? Why do I want to see them being paid to appear on my TV? I don’t.

Phew, going to go and lie down in a darkened room now. Looking forward to the non-celebrity one which is always my favourite 🤩

I hate the way bloody Lisa Faulkner always gets her mug on the judging panel every year. I know she’s married to John but she’s so bloody smug 😡

Just dropping in to report that I was watching last night with my mum and she kept frowning at Charlotte, then she said 'Oh is she the one that's famous for overcoming a deformity or something??'
I HOWLED.

As much as him and Maisie give me the absolute creeps he does seem like a nice guy. He spoke about Tom a little when he was on that Afraid of the Dark thing and he was genuinely heartbroken about it
I know nothing about Max at all. I know he dated Michelle Keegan ages ago. Just from Masterchef he seems quite pleasant and a bit socially awkward.
I find Luca quite fascinating in that he seems a complete blank. 'I'm buzzing' he keeps saying in the most flat emotionless monotone. Always the slight mockery. I can't see him carving out a celeb career at all as he is so withdrawn and self contained. Is that due to hidden depths or that there is nothing else there? I don't dislike him. He is just, pardon the pun, an odd fish.

Oh my god me too, it's her entire identity. Interesting she didn't have any 'sensory issues' when they were injecting needles full of crap into her face.

I like the mass catering challenge - feeding 50, no recipes & in a team is so different to anything else they do. You’d often see them come unstuck or see who really pitched in, I liked that.
Agree on the restaurant round though, as someone said, it depended a lot on what dish they had so not comparable and was always a bit longwinded.
Wish they did the one with making something from the scraps, that was always good on the professionals. Do they still do the relay one where they take over without communicating?
Hope to see Andy P, Rylan and Sophie Thompson as critics - Les Dennis and Ade were brill too.
Early call I’m going for Bez and Mel so far.
Was it just me, or did Andi Peters come across as throughly dislikable when he was judging in last nights episode?
”Just sayin’…”

Anyone watching this?

Just starting the first episode. First thoughts.

What have Rita and Duncan done to their faces? Didn't recognise either of them

Has Faye cooked anything savoury yet?
Kitty is wonderfully casual. Her refusing to be rushed over the lasagne by Gregggg and it still being lovely 😂
Kitty is hilarious, her teasing John and him giggling and hiding was delightful. She may not be the best cook, but she adds a bit of fun and levity to the whole affair, and you do need that in these competitions, or else it's just a dozen minor celebrities stressing over C-grade food.

I had to suspend reality when they were doing the skills test....AS IF they could all suddenly produce proper custard, poached meringue and caramel with zero prior warning 🤣 The skills test wrecks a lot of them on the professional version so I'm not buying this lot just trotterd in, thought cool and got on with it!

I agree, Max has had coaching or did a course before the series started. His food has been impressive right from the start and his presentation is pretty good too. He's like that person you knew at school who claims to not have studied for an exam and then gets an A.

Terry was so pissed during the Pairs challenge: He 100% thought he should have been captain. I think he felt that he could win this thing.

I'm finding Danny almost unwatchable. It's the shrieky laugh after every single unfunny thing he says.
He's up to about 9 on my Swashometer unbearability scale.
