Am I the only one excited to see this 🙈😂.
I just hope they have kept rum tum tuggers original song when I went to see it again a few years back they had tried to update it to a rap kind of song which completely ruined it for me. Also can they fuck off keep casting James cordon in stuff that bloke pisses me right off

It’s the worst thing I’ve seen in a long time 😖 so many things wrong with it. Why is the Judy Dench cat wearing a fur coat? What size are these cats? They keep growing and shrinking based on the set 😂
Why can’t Rebel Wilson be in a movie without falling off something?
How bad does Jennifer Hudson need this Oscar for singing “Memory”? Her voice is wonderful but it’s not right for the song at all 😣
But most importantly: why did anybody think this was a good idea?

I don't even like the cats musical! Think it's over rated. 😬

This film version looks absolutely shite! What the hell have they done?!

Whenever I see the trailer for this I have a chuckle because James Corden being in it reminds me of when Cam from modern family did it 🤭

I genuinely don’t get why everyone is finding this so “scary” or “terrifying”

Everyone I’ve seen comment is being so dramatic.

It’s a load of people dressed as cats. The movie is cats. What do people expect? Am I missing something? 🤣

I am so not digging Jennifer Hudson in this. I’m not a fan anyway but hearing her screaming out Memory was like nails in my brain. No thanks.

The original productions basically saved the theatre economy both in the UK and Broadway at a time when musicals were a struggling, post Fosse etc. I have alot of respect for that and the balls of the creative team for staging something which by there own admission was a ridiculous idea. But something about it worked, there's some magic there that gave it huge runs and billions in box office, and made theatre merch a thing. Good, bad or indifferent, I think everyone would admit it has something that captured people's imagination. 4 year old me certainly fell in love enough that it kick started a love of theatre and dance and ultimately a career in theatre direction. I haven't seen the film yet, I will, because I think it's unfair to have an opinion without seeing the whole thing. But I worry it lacks the magic that made the stage production such a hit

It’s the mix of cat/human facial features that does it for me. Do CGI for the sets etc. but they should have made the cats look like they do on the stage version.

Another weird bit is Swifty shaking her boobs as a cat...erm why?!?

John Partridge is the best Tugger, I saw him go on as an understudy. I'm that old, and he was incredible, it's no surprise he's in the filmed stage version

It's strange how it got this far. They must have tested the "ground breaking CGI" on people before going ahead with it. People thought that sonic was bad, until this.

Now I'm wondering how many hundreds of millions were spent on this. 200, 300 or more 🤪. Razzies all round. I bet Taylor is trying to backpedal on doing a song for this.

It’s a load of people dressed as cats.
If it was people dressed as cats it would be fine, but it's the CGI that is off and makes it unnerving. As everyone says it's the uncanny valley.

I agree the final thing won't be as bad as the scene switching makes it look worse. I'll probably watch it when a cam version is leaked online that misses all the fine (in technical terms) detail.
