She’s spent $23,000 on skincare in a year. I don’t find that funny to be honest. Some people have mentioned therapy for shopping addiction. Some have said treat yourself to the autumn kit. Horrified.
She needs to be removed from the group for her own good. Accepting her money is like serving an alcoholic.

Wow.... no one needs that much skincare..... particularly if it’s putting their family into debt that credit card would be cut up!

How do you manage to spend that much. Unless she was also getting various treatments and cosmetic procedures I don't see how you can spend that much on skincare in a year. Even if she bought expensive lotions and potions I still can't see it amounting 23k worth. Were they gold plated or something.

The last bit about the autumn kit....horrifying. That's some serious addiction going on there.

Wow. Just wow. This woman has convinced herself that owning an excess of skincare products is some kind of adorable personality trait.

Figure out your online presence CH. Do you really want to be the woman who leads other women into misery and debt?

I wish Caroline would intervene on that post. Instead she only intervenes on the irrelevant crap like the anal bleaching attention seeking bloke. Actually, I'd go as far as to say that that poster should be removed by the admins, otherwise she's just being further enabled.

The woman needs urgent psychological intervention not the autumn kit. $23K would pay for a lot of sessions with an expert therapist.

Has anyone seen The Social Dilemma on Netflix? A fantastic watch but I also wish someone would make one about influencer culture- people getting into debt buying products shilled by influencers who get sent them for free, the whole "I'm just a normal person like you and I'm your mate" fallacy, normalising owning 60 lipsticks and calling it empowerment...

She has said on stories she is unfollowing people who don't disclose ads properly, well that's most of her ex Gleam mates:rolleyes:

Isn’t Lisa Potter Dixon the worst for this? She thanks the companies as if they’ve just gifted them to her out of the goodness of their hearts.

CH herself doesn’t disclose things properly. So yet again I call her, in my opinion, a big old hypocrite.

When the ASA got tougher, several ‘influencers’ (hate that term) started using the #presstreatment #presssample etc balls. Chapman sisters, Nadine Baggott, AMR and a few others all do it. They use those instead of plain old AD, because they don’t like to look as if they advertise too much. Whereas in reality it’s still an advert, they’re receiving a free service instead of actual cash, and then telling their followers all about it. They may not ‘formally’ have been asked to do this or physically paid money to do this, but they have an ongoing relationship with said company. If they stopped getting their hair done for free they wouldn’t say how wonderful they are any more...
