You’d need to be well moisturised after scrubbing your face raw with a flannel and then rubbing acid all over it.

God, when will the simpering, sycophantic behaviour stop? 🤮
You're right, it's soooo cringey!! The Freaks all seem to want to outdo each other on who can be the most shocking/hilarious/get the most likes on a post, and therefore be picked as Freak of the Week. So all we get is posts about people being drunk (omg I've just order £500 of Sunday Riley, take my card away from me lol!!!) ,the bumhole bleach guy and people using hair removal cream on their vag. Then there are people who are asking genuine questions who get ignored.

What a state the group is now. It's a shame because I used to find it really helpful, and a safe space to talk with a nice group of fellow skincare enthusiasts, now it's a mad house.

I think it's a shame about the group. I think they have let too many people in and now it is difficult to manage. The bum bleaching annoyed me CH wouldn't be supporting it if a dark skinned lady was asking how to bleach their skin and she criticises brands who use the term lightning on their products.

The group is far too big, people asking genuine questions are too often ignored and there are far too many filtered selfies #nomakeup with people just wanted to be told how amazing they look. I left when they were complaining about how much money various firms were donating to her charity for beauticians - she later admitted the amount raised equated to £10 per beautician - all her bull about knowing what all these companies donate etc, charts positioning people as to what they gave... duck off with your free treatments and shelves full of products.

CH is now having the OPPOSITE effect on me because I want to streamline my skincare 😂 I bought into the acid toners, the peel pads, the serums and while they do work and I do like them for my skin, you can only use so much at a time! Have that Freaks! 😂

I feel the exact same

Same here. I use a couple of products that work for me (they're not particularly cheap, I'll admit it) and have pretty much given up on needing the latest ~holy grail~ that's doing the influencer rounds.

My products aren't cheap either (biologique recherche mostly) but definitely cheaper than buying loads and loads of stuff. And best of all, no more "should I use x or y product". I've done the same for makeup too

I haven’t been wearing that much make-up because of working from home/pointless when wearing a face mask. But I’ve streamlined that too - I have my favourite foundation/mascara/concealer etc and I’ll just re-purchase once I’ve used them up. Gone are the days when I’d order the latest UD palette or MAC release

Oh god yeah I cringe when I think of all the palettes I used to own. I also have my favourites and just use them up. It's a much more satisfying way of operating

The difference is we paid hard earned cash and they get them all gifted. Enough is enough!!

I was confused when I read this...is it really that unusual when you don't buy new clothes for a month?!
[/QUOTE]

I think that over consumption has become a real norm, sadly. I have read a lot about fast fashion in lockdown and when shops sell clothes for such a low cost it is easy to be duped into just buying stuff. I am horrified by how much stuff I have bought that I really don't need - clothes and cosmetics. I have been on a real 'shop my stash/wardrobe' thing. So satisfying. Influencers can just bloody do one as far as I am concerned.

Someone posted this this morning. Spelling mistake on the Medik8 C-Tetra from Hirons summer kit. People saying it must be a fake then the OP saying it was from the kit, so can’t be. Bit odd? Wonder where Hirons sourced them from cheap. That’s weird.
I have a bottle I bought online not from the kit which has the same spelling mistake. I just checked.
