So, is she saying she hasn’t had Botox at all in her forehead? Is this true? Or is she being economical with the truth, and she’s had ‘some’ but it’s the phrase ‘forehead full of Botox’ to which she objects? Come on Hirons, let’s have it since you’re so truthful.
It's the Sali Hughes syndrome all over again. Sali and Caroline both use disingenuous language "baby botox, just a smidge, a weak dilute". Botox is botox is botox. So childish for Caroline to pounce on the "forehead full of botox". It might be a hyperbolic expression but she knows exactly what the person meant.

2-3 people working on thousands of orders? Dreadful cutting corners business practice but Caroline is making it out that it's the customers fault and the customer is being unreasonable.

Don't take on orders you're not capable of fulfilling or else make sure you are sufficiently staffed. At the very least, a notification to the customers to advise that they're working through a large volume of orders and an estimate of how long it should take

Are you part of her group?
Yes, and have been an avid blog and YouTube follower for years.

I enjoy hearing about new products, and there aren't many middle aged skincare bloggers.

I don't like the "Freaks" thing. I don't want to be part of a club or mugs worshipping "Our Queen" and buying the same camo pants she wears. It's cringeworthy

Plus over the last year or so I've definitely switched off and no longer enjoy her content like I did.
I don't find her genuine anymore, I know she needs to make money and it's her business but I don't really trust her product recommendations now.
She hypes up products she puts in her kits - are they in her kits because truly they're the best products or is more a case she gets them at massive discount if she hypes them up.

Okay, I have to rant about her blog. It's a mess. I'm tech savvy and even I'm finding it impossible to navigate to find single reviews of an item. I mean, surely these reviews exist? I'm not searching any indie brand. I don't see why she would have ignored all the popular items from big brands. This experiment was done using her search box on the website.

I searched for Paula's choice: Only 2 single product reviews.

Okay. Maybe she don't like them that much. Thought she would've at least covered the classics but okay.

Search for Ren Skincare; no single product reviews.

Alright. Ren was good enough to be in her box but whatever.

Oskia: 3 single product reviews.

Pixi: 1 single product review!!!!

This one actually shocked me.

Kate Somerville: 6 single reviews

I would say that's okay but then I remember how much Kate has released over the years.

Medik8: 1 collaborative review of all their newly released vitamin a products.

Pestle & Mortar: 3 single product reviews. None of them were the one that was in the kit though.

Dermalogica: 1 single product review and 2 were single reviews paid ads.

She loves the brand, innit ;)

Zelens: 6 single product reviews.

Again, it might seem okay but remember this is over a five year stretch, zelens has released far more items than that.

Emma Hardie: 1 single product review and it's not even the cleanser!

Hylamide: 2 single product reviews

The inkey list(which was in her spring kit): zero reviews on any products.

Beauty Pie: 3 single product reviews. (In her spring kit)

Mother Dirt: zero single product reviews.

Do I need to go on?

So yeah, I wish she'd stop saying 'it's all on the blog'. It isn't. I think maybe because she's talked about an item in videos, she might think she's already reviewed it. Or her search function on her website is broken. I also wish she focused on skincare that is also at an accessible price. Stratia is one of my favourite brands, products are amazing and are not the same cost as your rent. I think the prices are fair and eveything is under $30. Yet, no reviews on the blog.

Also, I read her book. It was basically her cheat sheets copied and pasted for most of it. Some of it was new but most of it is available for free on her website.

No wonder newbies all ask the same questions. Accessing the infomation isn't easy when it's not organized and is scattered. She should have a lot more single reviews of stuff; those are the easiest to understand and you would get all your info from that review. Then people wouldn't ask "silly" questions all the time because they would know what she thought about the product. It's not fair to ask someone to read the blog, watch her youtube and insta lives to gather all the information you need and her opinion. It's too much and you really have to dig to find her opinion on certain products.

-Dont worry for my sanity, I am really bored and I can't get to sleep-

I follow a dermatologist on insta called Dr Natalia Spierings... I urge you all to take a look at her factual, no nonsense content.

I was watching a live a few weeks ago with her and another bullshit-hater when they mentioned Caroline's new book. The live suddenly jumped from around 20 viewers to over a hundred, with lots of "get in the sea", "freaks 4eva" etc comments being sent... It was truly embarrassing. The host, being American and not really aware of CH's group didn't know what was going on.

Yesterday Natalia did a live with carolinelabouchere... Go watch it. She has now bought the book and is beginning to give her opinion... She is small fry compared to CH but I know whose opinion I trust... I'm watching with interest to see if the ripples turn to waves.

I've learnt so much from Natalia's feed, she's the antithesis of CH and the likes of Sali Hughes... Well worth a follow if you want to help your skin and wallet.

£300! We’re about to crash out of the EU with no trade deal, people are losing their jobs left, right and centre, and there’s a fucking pandemic. I am honestly disgusted by her now.

Her comment about LookFantastic getting in there and reducing the prices of the products that were in a previous "kit"... so she's saying she doesn't want her fans to get a good deal, she wants to line her own pockets. I mean, we knew this, but she's so blatant.

I feel like staging an intervention for these women. All jokes aside, it is frightening that grown women are putting her on such a pedestal. All the while, she's laughing all the way to the bank

Did anyone watch the live earlier? She spouted that Britain uses over a billion wipes and plastic cotton Buds blah blah then after showing the first product, a ren cleanser, she proceeds to get a packet of wipes (off camera but you can clearly hear them) and pulls out a wipe to wipe it off the back of her hand!! Slightly hypocritical Caroline

It's literally a cult. If she was telling them to use their menstrual blood as an iron rich facial tonic they would do it.

You guys saved me £250 btw, I had ordered Box 2 but reading what you’d written made me realise I really didn’t need another load of products, as I’m actually really happy with my current routine. I just got caught up in the frenzy, because CH is bloody good at her job!
You're very welcome! We'll be happy to accept, as a small token of gratitude, a contribution toward our Christmas party of say....£250?

That sweatshirt... very on brand
From the House of Neon, mate. In case you missed it, she’s been banging on about the company/brand for days now. The House of Neon, just to make it clear. Neon in the House. House of Neon, did you know? It’s from the House of Neon where everything is neon. House of Neon, mate.

I see the freaks are on the rampage. I would rather take advice from a qualified dermatologist than a glorified beauty counter sales person whose advice flip flops depending on who's paying her. The freaks treat caroline as if she's the messiah and the best thing since sliced bread.

Regarding women being put under pressure I actually feel it's the likes of Caroline and not Jessica who are feeding into that- you must do this and you must do that and if you don't spend x amount on a cream you shouldn't be reading this blog (she did once say words to that effect)

The stories of women who had perfectly fine skin until they read Caroline's blog/ Facebook page and then ruined it by throwing too many products at it are many. It's not a rare occurrence.

I love skincare and looking after my skin but Caroline is a saleswoman at the end of the day. It's in her interest to encourage women to buy more products.

Also, everyone's skin is different.

Caroline (and others) rave about hyaluronic acid but it dried my skin right out. I felt vindicated by Jessica's article on it. Though I know it works for some

I didn't get on with tret either. I did everything right, followed instructions to the letter and it made my skin red, sore and angry. I decided it wasn't worth persisting with and gave up. It might work miracles for some and it might have proven anti ageing benefits but to me it wasn't worth the discomfort and my skin looking terrible. I use P50 instead and that works so much better for me. I know my skin better than any influencer and I refuse to be seduced by someone who is in bed with brands and who has a vested interest in people buying products.

People following Caroline's recommendations blindly can have disastrous results.

That's why I appreciate people like Jessica speaking up.

Also, Caroline, regarding the facial fake tan serum, good for you if you want to use it but what's wrong with being "pasty"? I don't feel my "pasty" complexion is anything to be ashamed of

improved. Caroline as made it so all these girls with mediocre/bad skin think their skin experts because they know what acids are and buy expensive skincare.

There was someone in the who’d bought herself a HEAP of expensive skincare, and was now asking for someone to tell her how to use it. I was dumbfounded by this. Like, she could clearly read and write?!

Its a bit rich caroline claiming that dr natalia is always involved in drama when caroline herself is always involved in a drama with someone and sticks her two cents in everything even if its not needed. Pot kettle black. How about she starts praticing what she preaches instead of being a hypocrite. I don't get why she called dr natalia fame hungry she herself is the epitome of someone who is fame hungry. She would try sell ice to eskimos if it meant she made money. Unlike her dr natalia has morals and standards on what advice she gives and what she recommends.
