There are quite a few celebs I like who don't have social media. Some celebs choose to have it and use it to their advantage to advertise their shows etc. Caroline wasn't forced to put her love life on her social media. You see loads of celebs not showing their kids faces or even their partners. There are a lot of people I follow who don't show anything to do with their private life.
Sharing your life with fans shouldn’t be a death sentence.

I never understand why celebs go searching for the negative comments. I’d just avoid at all costs

I’m really uncomfortable with framing Lewis as the victim. If he was cheating on her and gaslighting her then she’s as much a victim as he was, especially as he would have known about her mental health issues and by the sounds of it took advantage? Mental abuse is just as bad as physical imo. And I’m definitely not trying to condone physical violence but 9/10 women I know who found texts off another woman on their boyfriends phone after a day of drinking would give their fella a smack. Just a horrible situation all round and I wish she could have managed to take a few steps back, take herself away from the limelight and taken time to sort her issues out

Really? Are you serious?
I can honestly say that I don't know any women who would ever resort to violence, despite at least half a dozen(probably more on the quiet) in my circle having caught their partners cheating in some form. They just deal with it like adults rather than like 16 yr old gang members.
She battered him, was charged and because she was mentally fragile she couldn't face the consequences. That's it. It's truly sad but there is no point in dressing it up or excusing it with claims of 9 out of 10 women would do the same. There's a door in every home ... you either pack your bag and walk out through it or pack his bags and slam the door on his a as he leaves. The talking can come later when both parties are calm. Violence should never enter into it at any stage. Never.

IF. Who has claimed or proved he did this?

You need to change 9/10 of your friends...

IF. Who has claimed or proved he did this? Complete speculation.

Lewis’ mentally abusing and coercively controlling Caroline is abuse too.

Caroline hit him but there is no suggestion that she ‘battered’ him or subjected him to repeated violence.

Ok I know that there is no time limit on moving on but can I just say I am absolutely astounded that Lewis has moved on so quickly. Caroline died in such a tragic way because of what happened that night, the aftermath, the press hounding her, the backlash and also because of the strain of not being able to see or speak to him or even post about him. She would be absolutely heartbroken to know that he has been able to move on so easily when she made it clear she couldn’t live without him. Her suicide note even said she hoped she and Lewis could find harmony one day. It’s just so sad that he has found harmony in the bed of another woman and so quickly. To also do it so publicly too is just so disrespectful not only to Caroline but also to her family who have to sit and watch him and Lottie all over each other on holiday.

I think a lot of people on here are just in the mind set that ‘she’s an abuser’ so it’s fine for him to go off with other women but let’s say none of the past events had happened and she had passed from a disease or an accident. Would it still be ok for him to forget her so quickly and find someone new?
No matter your opinion on Carloline, I don’t think it’s right especially as he declared his undying love for her on countless occasions. I think he is a hanger on and always been. It just so happens that his new squeeze is also famous and the paps always seem to know where they’ll be and when ...funny that.

One act of violence is too many. It doesn't really matter what came before, nothing will ever justify what she did. Everything being said about their relationship is speculation and opinion.

We all deal with trauma in different ways and if Lewis has moved on then that's his business. The paps are gross for following people around and publishing photos but why should he live his life in the shadow of what someone else did? Caroline made the decision to to end her life, Lewis' goes on and it's unreasonable to expect him to live it any differently because of what his ex did.

They weren’t even together a year and as she was still working when they met they probably didn’t get to see each other that much. He’s only in his 20’s then there was lockdown which wouldn’t have helped his mindset if he was feeling miserable. I’m not surprised he moved on quickly. However, I do think they could have kept their relationship out of the press for longer than they managed.

I didn’t say it wasn’t too many. Violence is wrong but what I am trying to say is that you can’t excuse his sustained mental abuse, gas lighting and coercion with her one act of violence.

Lewis is collaborating with the paps/photographer. They accompany him on holiday and take pictures. Then they split the sales fee from the press. My old house mate worked as pap for a picture agency and this is how it works with zlisters like Lewis.

Also, I think it’s fine for him to move on. However, purposely trying to get in the papers with his new relationship to make money is crass and tasteless.

I think speculation is justified when his disgusting behaviour was recorded in a Court of Law at her Inquest. It is well documented that Lewis distributed photos of that night, threatened her with ruin and was sneaking around behind her back with his ex girlfriend.

and the girl he’s moved on with was a friend of Caroline, and best friends & business partners with Caroline’s best friend.

Obviously they can do what they want but I think they could have kept it out of the public eye for the sake of Caroline's family really. I think hes just a freeloading leach, he will have just found her an easy available target to sponge off.

Do you mean why is it an issue why he moved on with her friend?
Or why isn’t it more of an issue that Lottie got together with her dead mates boyfriend? I do think that’s weird of her, plus he doesn’t seem like a catch at all - all the mutual friends seem to be on board with it I think tho?

I think it's been mentioned that they've both been through the loss of a loved one so he was probably able to talk about things with her and one thing led to another but it does seem to have happened quickly.

As mentioned up thread sometimes people do get together quickly after a partner dies, other people take years neither are wrong

caroline and Lewis weren’t married or even engaged, it sounds like they were in a casual relationship, a troubled one at that , I couldn’t be in a relationship where someone is threatening suicide all the time.

There is no excuse in the world for hitting your partner, even sending photos to ex partners or are we saying if a man hits his wife/partner (1st time) for texting or talking to an ex partner it’s justified especially if he has mental health problems and he thinks she’s gas lighting him??

I agree there is no excuse for hitting a partner. No one has excused her actions.

There is no excuse for mental abuse either. They are the same thing. His abusive behaviour should be recognised for what it was; the same with Caroline’s.

There is also no excuse for selling intimate or private photos to the press, tipping off the press or lying to your partner. Are you saying that was justified because his partner was suicidal?
