She was clearly very unwell mentally, there were reports that’s her ex Andrew had called an ambulance in the past because he was concerned for her welfare. This was going back a year ago. She would get into manic states and threaten suicide.

The night her boyfriend called the police she was screaming that he was an mole and that he had ruined her life. This can be heard in the background in the 999 call that he made. This was a fact that the media reported from the court hearing. He probably woke up to the lamp being thrown at him, and his phone and completely freaked out at the blood all over the bed. She had lacerations on the left wrist which the media said was due to glass being thrown but insiders on here have revealed she slashed her wrist. Of course he called the ambulance, he must have been terrified at the state she was in. I’m sorry, but that’s not an accident. Having violent outbursts is not an accident. Screaming, throwing tables over in a violent rage and shouting that your going to kill yourself.

When the police showed up they were both covered in blood. He had blood down his face and she had blood all over her from the lacerations. He was probably trying to stop her from bleeding also.

had it happened before? Did she threaten suicide on a regular basis as a means to control him. I’m not sure what constitutes domestic violence. Perhaps she didn’t mean to hurt him and that’s what she means. She clearly needed help or at least a mental health diagnoses.

she had serious mental heath problems, whether on not she got offered support for this remains to be seen. She should have been reviewed by a psychologist. Maybe she refused any help or treatment?
A family friend has BPD. If she comes off her meds, she is completely manic and has been suicidal. Years ago, we got a phone call from her sister as our friend (with BPD) had attacked her out of nowhere. We had to go and pick her sister up as she was absolutely terrified. It was awful. Not sure if Caroline had BPD obv but just reading about the attack triggered this memory.

Her body would still need to be identified. Her dad didn’t feel able to confirm after finding her and getting her down. Her twin wanted to do it. Her parents were absolutely devastated.
Getting her down??

When I first read her statement, I thought - gosh, an accident! And then I remembered every single abusive relationship I’ve been in, where it was always an “accident” We definitely don’t know what happened but I find seeing LB’s head-wound offensive, if he was a women we would be up in arms. Fact is - it looks pretty deep, could be hiding more and for her to have hit his head - he must have been lying or sitting down... it’s all very sad and I feel weirdly obsessed by it all. She must have been in such an awful state :(
I'm uncomfortable with the line some are pushing on here about Caroline being a domestic abuser. I would agree that the 'it was an accident' line of defence should always be refuted IF there is evidence of this being more than a one off incident. As far as I'm aware there has been nothing from her boyfriend/police/cps to imply this.

While I agree that saying you are going to kill yourself can be an emotionally abusive tactic, it can only be described as such if the person has no intent on doing it. In Caroline's case it was a clear symptom of her mental health issues.

Therefore the list of 'abusive' things she is alleged to have done happened on one occasion after she allegedly found out about her boyfriends cheating. This isn't minimising it, it's just stating a fact that from what we know of the facts she MAY be guilty of a one off assault, but there is no indication of a pattern of abuse or that she was an abuser or abusive person in general.

Also someone implied the Instagram post that Caroline wasn't allowed to send out was somehow indicative of being an abuser, I beg to disagree. She clearly stated that she takes responsibility for her actions and she refuses to blame anyone else. Classic abusive behaviour would be the opposite where the abuser denies responsibility and tries to put blame on the victim or anyone but themselves.

I'm not saying the CPS are to blame for pursuing the case and it's a positive thing that they are finally trying to take DV more seriously, but they seem to have their priorities all wrong. The reason why the government quite rightly brought in new laws against DV was because of the thousands of women and children around the country living in fear of violent male partners, having to flee their homes and take refuge in over flowing women's shelters around the country. Two women in the UK are murdered every week by their partners because the police or justice system has failed them.
These are the cases that need prosecuting, but it seems like the CPS wanted to make an example of a high profile female celebrity instead.

I note that Nicky Butt, ex Man Utd player and now Academy manager, was arrested last April for domestic violence against his wife. He was due to appear in court this week but his wife refused to testify against him but, unlike with Caroline's case, the CPS dropped the case instead of proceeding. He merely got cautioned and fined for criminal damage to her phone.

Also noteable how the media coverage for his case was virtually non existent (I didn't even know he was arrested and charged last year).
The press may have a duty to report famous people's court cases but the way the disgusting tabloid press and high profile 'journalists' (like Dan Wooten , Piss Morgan even Eamonn Holmes) vilify, harass, stalk, bully, make up lies and bull stories about famous people (nearly always women) is unacceptable and deeply disturbing. Their responses expressing remorse about Caroline's tragic death show them to be total hypocrites. The fact two of these bullying misogynists are employed by ITV just shows that they are a morally bankrupt organisation too.

The tabloid press and high profile social media trolls spewing hatred every day may not be to blame for Caroline's death, it's not as simple as that, but they are one of the many contributing factors and they are a stain on our society.

Agreed. Would it not be effective to be able to say
Alcohol and c combined creates chemical X in the brain. Those with mental health issues have higher levels of Y in their body. X and Y combine to create XY2 which has the following effects ***
It does: cocaethylene

Getting her down??
From the method by which she killed herself.

The issue I have with her statement is she wasn't being silenced. Her legal team advised her it wouldn't be a good idea to post that, and I agree with them.
She was very close to a court date where she would have been able to give her side. But she decided she would rather end her life than have everything raked over in the court room. So we'll never know what the truth is, but know she would rather die than go to court. The CPS felt they had enough to charge her and they're aware of all the details.

The CPS thought they had enough to prosecute but they don't always win so we will never know if she would've been found guilty or not. Just because the CPS thought they had a reasonable chance of a successful prosecution doesn't mean they actually did. Lots of cases get dropped before they reach a trial.

True and I'm not saying she would have definitely found guilty, but she did end her life the day after hearing the CPS were definitely going to proceed with the case.

an unpublished instagram post......so she wrote it but didnt press the button, it was sat there ready to go?
She apparently sent it to her Mom because she was told not to share it on social media but wanted to get it wrote down.

This is why I think it was a suicide and note and pre planned. Who knows, maybe that's why she rented the flat she did because she knew she would be able to hang herself in there.

I would’ve thought so too but a girl I went to school with’s Dad hanged himself, his wife went out and he phoned her a while later and asked how long she’d be and she told him she was just around the corner and wouldn’t be long, but then she bumped into someone she knew and stood chatting to them instead of going straight home. When she arrived home he’d hanged himself, so it seemed he wanted to know that she’d back in time to find him and save him but because she got distracted sadly he died
I’ll rephrase then - MOST hangings are done knowing they will be a final act. That sounds more like coercive control rather than suicidal behaviour.

I did a research project on self harm and it’s progression to suicidal acts/behaviours years after my own experiences with mental health led to me being sectioned, just in case anyone was wondering why I am commentating on this. Carry on as you where if you weren’t 🤣

Ot but how cringy was that Jack Whitehall "interviewing" Harry styles at the Brits.

That was a wasted 10 minutes switching that on. Just an industry thing to boost sales during a quiet period, but I'm sure even mick and Sam did a better job
Agree! Did anyone think Laura Whitmores behavior was in bad taste considering her good friend has just passed. I was a little suprised she went.

On the flip side he could have been checking to make sure he had enough time that she wouldn't be able to save him. Or that he wanted her to be the one to find him and no one else so was making sure she would be the next person to come in the door

her twin identified her body, I think they are two different things. Her body would have needed to be identified by someone at the police station.
When my ex killed himself and I found him. I did the formal identification at the house where I found him I didn't have to go to the police station and the coroner took his body.

She had posted on Instagram stories that she would be speaking out but then nothing materialised and she didn't post again until the photos of her with her dog. Presumably she was advised by Management and Legal team not to post anything.

They don’t take bodies to police stations. She could have been ID’d at home or in hospital.

These are the kind of posts I think miss the total point (tweeted by Chris O'Dowd). Home, fashion amd wellness (usually fitness) magazine are toxic but in a different way to entertainment magazines. All the celebs slating these magazine still use them when they have something to sell 🤷‍♀️

Showing people with amazing houses, expensive clothes and great bodies aren't helpful towards mental health at all. They all seem to exist to make people feel inferior to go out and buy tit.

My local newsagents has a sign up in there today saying they will no longer be stocking celebrity magazines and will be reviewing their newspaper choices. They already refuse to sell the Sun (I think the Dad is Liverpudlian)
