quick message to those who come onto a gossip thread to blame people for gossiping.

Someone Who takes their life, does so because of extremely bad mental health
A public figure goes into their profession KNOWING the pros and cons of living in the public eye.
and unfortunately Caroline had a taste of both.
its a pity she didn’t get help, it’s a pity she couldn’t save herself, I won’t even blame her family and friends.
nobody is to blame, it’s just a tit situation.
I defintely think it’s a combination of mental health and drug taking. Along with the fact that she’s been caught abusing her bf and it’s not been swept under the rug. These management agencies should be held accountable for being “yes” people. You can’t shelter “celebrities” from themselves. Eventually it catches up with them and then they can’t cope

Shocking news. She obviously wasn’t well and didn’t conduct herself in the best way... no one should die by suicide though, having lost a colleague to suicide it’s incredibly hard to us left behind, guilt of why didn’t we know it was that bad, if only they had talked..., there is always a way through and would urge anyone struggling to open up.

thoughts are with her family and friends

She should have gone off radar completely and gone into rehab as soon as this all happened with Lewis. It probably would have saved her life!

Let's be honest, she courted the media when it was adventagous to her and complained when it revealed the darker side of her life. Wouldn't be shocked if the official verdict ended up being accidental overdose tbh. But if she did indeed take her own life, then its a sad situation. But it's a mental health issue and has little to do with gossip. tit happens in people's lives. Some people grow from it and get stronger, some people need help to get through the darkness. No one is to blame if she didn't seek help or take help offered to her. Not her ex or her family. I know this all sounds horribly cold, I don't mean it to. But she wasn't a victim imo

How awful. No matter what she did, or what her issues were it’s so sad she decided to take her own life. I hope she’s at peace now. RIP 🥺

If the suicide rumours are true, that makes her the third person associated with Love Island to have taken their own lives.

Im not sure how much longer the show can continue? There is something quite fundamentally wrong with it, Big Brother ran for years and nothing like this ever happened. The brand seems tainted now.

She should’ve taken the Ant McPartlin route of saying she has problems with addiction, getting into rehab, getting professional help. Would’ve helped her personal rehabilitation and career image rehabilitation like Ant. As well as genuinely being the help she clearly needed. We could be hearing a different story, which would’ve been preferable

It’s not a rumour, the family’s lawyer has just confirmed that she did indeed take her own life.

I absolutely agree. It could have been prevented for sure. But sometimes people are just unwilling to help themselves! 😕

I can’t say I’m shocked. She was clearly a troubled soul going by her private life. Very sad for her family and friends.

I don’t think it’s love island. I think it’s social media and how so many people feel the need to live a lie. It wasn’t really a big thing in the big brother days.

I can't pretend I liked Caroline, because I didn't, but I am sorry she's died and for her family.

Dan Wooten needs to duck right off, hypocritical little twit.

In this case, I don't think the love Island effect can be blamed for her death, she wasn't a contestant on the show dealing with the same issues as them.
I agree with a previous poster, a mixture of bad mental health, drink/drugs and stress of the trial.

I just saw the news on Emily Norris' Instagram story. It's such sad news. She was always innocent until proven guilty and I hope she is now in a better place. She was far too young and it's a shame she didn't feel she could seek help for any mental health problems she may have had.

Like anyone who suffers with addiction and MH issues, it’s always going to end one of two ways.
you could be on prime time TV or work in the local Asda.
mental health doesn’t discriminate.
and if you don’t seek help, unfortunately you will probably never rid yourself of your deamons.
this isn’t an argument about who’s to blame, it’s a lesson in how quickly you can lose it all if you’re not looking after your mental health.
her public downfall was the least of her troubles, it looks like the real fight was in her own head.
