She was one of the few ‘normal’ and relatable ones on insta. It’s a shame - nowadays she has lost the plot - she has no USP and just buys useless, tacky tat - they’re not even aspirational purchases. Her kids are getting too old for her ‘mummy’ insta focus but she’s not adapted into anything else except increased buyer of tat. Also the overkill of NY in stories is just plain sad - get off IG and enjoy your family holiday, as admittedly they seem like a sweet little family together, albeit often splitting in two for shopping/activities

In a way I feel sorry for Erin and Ethan. When you buy your kids everything under the sun or make every experience into a special snowflake moment, how do you expect them to really value anything? I'm all for making memories with your family, but it shouldn't come with a price tag. Put the credit card and the camera down and just spend time with them.

Have I missed something, what is it with the daily step count? I don’t think I’ve seen her do that before but all of a sudden she’s noting down how many steps their doing a day.
Is this all part of her cunning plan like quietly dropping weight so she can announce a partnership with a health brand? Curious

Feels like theres a really narrow window for enjoying vloggers and instagrammers now before they all start heading to the darkside. Crap when youve invested time in watching a family!!!!

What is with all this Rae Dunn stuff? It all looks the same and all they do is plaster a different slogan on each item. What a rip off!

The amount of money she’s spent this half term when she bangs on about loving a bargain & being tight with her money, is outrageous. If she was a non-public persona earning this money & spending it how she likes, fine, no problem. When you have accumulated followers based on the idea that you are one of them & show them what they can find at Poundland/Primark because that’s the affordability of your demographic of audience, it’s not ok. Rubbing her wealth & spoiling herself & her children for half term could’ve been kept private. This is a massive (not so) humble brag & will tug at the heartstrings of most of her followers that they’re not good enough. Especially since we know for a fact there are several more massive holidays in the pipeline for 2019

And did anyone notice that comment in her last vlog about when she was on that "upmarket" flight to Italy last year ... like flying on Ryanair is beneath her or something?! I mean, why even mention it was "upmarket" Just say I spilt wine on my top on the flight and I stank.. And just how much did she spend in Sainsbo's on that haul before they went to New York? Just how many pairs of socks/pants/tops do those kids need? Then she's having to clear out their rooms because they've got too much stuff? It's complete madness.

Was just coming on to comment that. By the sounds of it, she bought loads and went to the store at least three times ?

Not to mention the kids valentines baskets the week before & then lots more toys & treats for the plane. What’s wrong with a book & some colouring/a movie. Having never been on a plane due to having no money, maybe I’m wrong. But going on holiday is such a big treat for children, it seems really bratty to them give them a surprise load of presents on the plane. Why are they getting presents for going on holiday? The more I think about it the angrier I get!

I think she has some kind of obsessive personality. Almost a shopping addiction. I have been there and can still lapse but most of the time realised that I was wasting so much money.

Eg American girl. My daughter loves/d them (she’s 13 so now just a collectors item stored away) and so I planned every holiday to go to America so we could add to her collection. She was perfectly happy with a couple of dolls and generic outfits but I was obsessed with buying her more and original American girl outfits.

Also other things like Emma bridgewater pottery. I needed everything as I felt I was missing out if I didn’t have a set of a particular pattern. Stationery, I have drawers full of the stuff.

But you do have to get to a point of stopping yourself. As you say that Rae Dunn stuff all looks the same. Why do you need so much of it. Yes I quite like it but a mug and a couple of the serving things or storage jars and that would be enough.

She is a false economist. She takes snacks (far too much sugar mine would have been off the walls with smarties, tic-tac and lolly’s) but yet then spends over £100 on unnecessary clothing just before they go. For herself alone she brought three shirts and a jumper? Are you telling me she didn’t have enough clothing for five days? You also saw her layout the kids clothing and there was underwear with every outfit but yet she Brought them more because it was a ‘bargain’. I get that she’s probably fairly well off as a family her husband has a good job and she makes a living but sometimes you just need to stop spending.

It’s wasteful and bad for that environment.

False economist is exactly it. Buying all that tat in Poundland or Home Bargains because it’s such a great deal! But you’d save a lot more cash if you just didn’t buy unnecessary landfill

Mine at that age I made sure we loaded iPads with Netflix films or paid for the decent inflight films and one or two new magazines.

Don’t get me started on people who take big cases and then take a carry on case each as well!! That’s why airlines are introducing charges for carry on as well as hold luggage. We went to Greece in the summer. Two adults and two teens and we had three rucksacks as carry on. Just standard sized ones but nearly every family in the queue had carry on cases and hold cases and then the moaning when there wasn’t enough room in the plane for them all. Rather pettily I insisted on putting our rucksacks overhead and not removing them for a family with five carry ons !!! I’d paid for my tickets as well and why should they have been allowed to put above my seat?

The whole trip just seemed like an opportunity to shop. She would have the cheek to say she loves a bargain but then go to all these really expensive eateries and plaster it all over stories how expensive they were to eat in. She’s another one that’s lost her way and is now unrelatable

She’s actually ripping off her followers (I used to really like her). It’s alright for all us lowlifes to need to find a bargain, but it’s just a hobby for her, she splashes so much cash on her holidays & days out & clothes. Then has the nerve to use mental health as a shield. Do any of these women have diagnoses from doctors for these conditions? I have a diagnosis of Generalised Anxiety Disorder & OCD. At no point have I ever been given this block/delete/cut people out/focus on you/self care advice from any health professional

Ive not seen anyone say she’s large or irritating? In fact I’ve seen people say she looks like she’s lost weight recently. I’ve seen lots of people like me say they actually really liked her personality and feel let down with how her content has progressed into unrelatable shopaholic sprees

I do love how they all say they don’t read the threads but can name the sites and know what’s being said. Although Emma has it wrong as no one has called her large. Not that I remember anyway.

Used to love her and her content but find it’s too much changing the kids wardrobes and rooms and id like to see more of her old content and the stories about her day to day life which of course we can’t see or hear now as her full time job is YouTube/Instagram. I’m surprised she doesn’t have more gifted trips to be honest and you know I wouldn’t begrudge her then as long as she was open and honest and said this trio was free or was free and I’m being paid to go or she paid and they have given x y z for free.

Although please stop with all the Disney holidays. There are so many Disney bloggers out there already and it’s all been down before. Even Emily canham and Elle Darby are at universal this week for free! Let’s see some proper family holidays, Greece, turkey etc. That dodgy all inclusive that looked fab online but was a bit Ropey on arrival or the opposite. Booked a budget hotel and discovered a hidden gem.

What got me started watching Emma was her vlogs of Camp Bestival that I was recommended by YT. I loved them, and her going to places like Butlins and Pontins. They were really interesting, useful and a lot of fun. In sharp contrast to the Shop Fest that is her current holidays. Emma, love, it's boring. Watching you shopping in New York is no more exciting than you shopping in Poundland in Brum.
