Imagine when that 4th episode was left as a cliffhanger and you had to wait days for the outcome, then they make it look like it was Billy who died, no spoilers either!!

Good episodes this week (though wish stv would show more!)
Loved Ralph not talking to Harry, he was a saint to put up with him!
I never liked Sandra, but Pat  they really had a strange relationship
Poor Sheila, I felt so sorry for her, she was so caught in the middle of everyone else.
On a lighter note, Damon has a haircut and Terry trying to avoid arguments!!

I am watching every episode - and am still finding the Alan Partridge character quite ridiculous.
I felt exactly the same when I watched it first time, around 40 years ago!

Damon’s girlfriend being called Pat. This didn’t seem that odd back then (though Patricia’s that I went to school with - were usually shortened to Trish).
Pat seems such an old name for a teenager 😆
There’s never any change to Alan’s voice, like he’s reading a long text message with no punctuation! I’m not sure what the point in the character is.

I must’ve missed an episode but what happened to the girl Barry picked up hitch hiking who pretended she couldn’t speak English? One minute she was living with Alan and Paul was chasing her around the garden and the next she’d gone. (I probably answered my own question there, being chased by Paul would make anyone pack up and leave pretty sharpish)

Love this thread! Bit niche, but Billy Corkhill was a reluctant getaway driver at one point, to this day I always say "drive Billy, drive" in the style of Gene the armed robber when I'm accelerating my car..

I was 16 when brookie ended and I taped the last episode & kept it for years! I don’t know how old I was when I first started watching but I remember so many key moments like the gas explosion! Also Tinhead was my first crush!

I haven’t watched hollyoaks in years but I will def be watching this!

I find Paul so bloody unbearable! And I can honestly say I’m still traumatised by the scenes of him and Annabelle in bed…he’s a man of principles but surely any job is better than no job when you’ve got a family to feed.

40 years doesn’t seem all that long ago when Alan’s girlfriend said she didn’t want to get married because she wasn’t ready to give up her career. It’s a good insight into what life was like in the early 80s
Ha, that clip of Paul and Annabelle in bed should have come with a warning!!

I bloody LOVE Marie - a real, proper Scouse character. A tough life making her seem more harsh and brash than she really is inside. Sadly the actress died quite young of lung cancer.

Watched all this week's 10 episodes, early sightings of Terry Sullivan, Sinbad the window cleaner (as an extra) and also spotted Billy Corkhill & Frank Rodgers in minor roles.
I had also forgotten that Lucy Collins was played by Katrin Cartlidge, quite a renowned actress afterwards.

I've only just realised that Jimmy McGovern wrote some episodes of Brookside, he's one of my fave writers who has wrote excellent gritty shows.

Chrissie: I'm looking for a change of image. Please can you cut my hair so it looks exactly the same but everyone's going to act like it doesn't?

If they make like *hollyoaks I'll be raging.
*haven't watched that in 20 years 😳
I want kitchen sink drama with a side of housing estate built on ancient burial ground. Everyone must look boring but there's potentially someone living in their attics.
Who's alive?

Yes, I did mean to mention the new Katie, She is an improvement no doubt, and I remember things do get interesting with Sammy later on, but the parents just drive me mad, it's like they can't seem to have a normal conversation without shouting
And I know Barry shouts a lot, but he gets a pass
1 He's an interesting character and has some great storylines
2 I had a massive crush on him (.Still do😆)
Please keep your hands off Barry.

Thank you.
