Brookside is back!

[RocksOff]

yeah seems my idea of the ep might be true. If so we need Lindsey, Jackie & Will

I smiled when I saw the time.of your post as it was the Saturday omnibus time, got to get home for 5.05!!

I didn't watch much of Hollyoaks so not sure how much this will all mean to me, but so looking forward to seeing the Brookie cast members

[minnieminx88]

Aren't we still on first series? Sorry am no help!!

Well tbh ive no idea but sky is making out we are on series 2. Theyre all over the place

[Cupid_Stunt]

Sunetra Sarker makes her debut in episode 3 of today’s batch

/QUOTE

Can't wait to get to the bit where Sinbad is in it!

]Sinbad has been in it a few times already. His character changes with time though. He starts off as a theiving scammer type - later turns into a salt of the earth type chap.

[AdsB]

there's nothing else I watch on telly. I'm in a routine. Husband goes to bed. I make a cuppa and watch loads

The gas explosion and millennium club bomb were my favourite storylines from that period.

[Cupid_Stunt]

Just started this week's, first episode felt abit off as if I missed somethings?
Anyone on here watch classic Emmerdale? Was Johnathon's friend Grayson??

Yes he did play Grayson in Classic Emmerdale. I recognised his voice before I recognised his face

I think the numbering of the episodes have been off for a few months. Also there was an extra episode added during Christmas week 1989 which might explain why STV didn’t notice they skipped an episode

[minnieminx88]

I know
---

This is when I started watching it last time!

Im glad i wasnt the only one that noticed!!
Absolutely obscene hahaha.

[Maid22]

Another meh week!
Sue is awful, blimey Johnathon knocked off £10,000 but she's still moaning, then in the next bit, Terry offers to buy her a load of clothes!
I vaguely remember DD's brother Derek, wasn't he a vicar or a priest?

[Rockin' Robin]

Did they ever find out what happened to Petra Taylor?

[kendallroysdownfall]

Yes we definitely see it being built as I can think of something that happens during the building of it (but I won’t say what for those watching for the first time).

Me too

[Maid22]

I don't remember the sink hole or the new couple!
I'd have parked my car on the grass to, they were all taking the piss driving over it!
The actress who plays Doreen is in it briefly, the itv drama Until I kill you, first time I've seen her in anything since Brookside!

[RocksOff]

Why am I not surprised!!
I couldn't stand to watch anymore of it
Saying that, I am so enjoying watching Brookie again, I look forward to it every Wednesday

[Miss Havisham]

We will soon reach the fabulous story line - featuring “Nick” and his rather odd friend (Charlie). It was probably my favourite Brookside storyline.

Heather doesn’t half pick em!

[RocksOff]

@RocksOff I found the missing episode!! It makes sense now!

Ooh you beauty!
Thank you

[Cagp20]

I’ve really enjoyed watching the old episodes! I was a big fan of brookside, didn’t start watching it until early 90’s so have enjoyed watching from the beginning. I didn’t know that Ian Mercer, who plays Damon was in at the start, he also was Gary Mallet from Coronation street. I’m now ready for the next release of episodes.

[Maid22]

That was a lively week!
Owen's proposal, take it or leave it!
Awful Chrissie, practically blaming Sammy for messing up her life, good old Frank though.
Love Sinbad and Marcia, he's so much better without that pain Jimmy
Terry's dad, what an idiot, he's made the situation worst
Love, love Julia!!
And Graham, nooooooooo!!

[minnieminx88]

Just watched this weeks, and blimey we nearly saw Roger's todger when he got out of the bath!!

Ohhhh cant wait for that haha
Havent seen this weeks yet.

[kendallroysdownfall]

Agree! It's great to watch Sheila and Billy, they seem very natural together, both as characters and actors.
I don't want to moan, as I'm delighted Brookside is being shown again, but The Rogers bore me to bits, I fast forward through them
Everyone else, just ticking along nicely

But the proper Katie Rogers is in it now and I remember really liking her as a character!

[RocksOff]

That is true, poor Ralph

[RocksOff]

The Chois and the Rogers are dreadful.
Love the scenes between Sheila and Billy!! Glad Rod and Tracy have accepted them now!

That house is the most interesting to see at the moment
I think by this time on the original run I had a busy social life as there are lots of gaps for me, and to be honest, it is a bit boring, so probably didn't prioritise watching
