Just had a thought, Claire's parents might not have wanted her credited maybe?

You’ve watch 2 years worth since we last interacted! I think I stopped watching around December 1999 originally. Well until I dipped back in for some of the bullying plot and the siege/helicopter crash.
🤣🤣🤣 there's nothing else I watch on telly. I'm in a routine. Husband goes to bed. I make a cuppa and watch loads 🤣🤣

Same, one of my earliest memory of a soap is Suzanna's car crash my mum taped it and made us watch it as kids to never mess about in the car as it could cause the same.
Are we the same person 😂. I never forgot my seatbelt after that episode (even though watching the crash again it’s really tame).

Also learned never to switch on a light during a gas leak thanks to Brookside 😂.

I am still loving the Brookside reruns. Back in the day I would be watching it Monday and Tuesday - and then the repeat on Saturday!
it can’t be too far off now - before we have the vasectomy storyline (Bobby and Sheila). This storyline really annoyed me back in 1985 - as it was all about Sheila’s refusal to use contraception because of her catholic faith. I grew up in Liverpool (catholic) and cannot recall any catholics refusing to use contraception in the 1980s. It’s only a soap - but it did annoy me at the time as it was so OTT.

Bit of a boring week!
Noticed the spin off South, where Tracy and Jamie go to London is on STV, don't think I've ever seen it.

I'm also not keen on the Rogers, especially Chrissie!
Oh and I felt sorry for grumpy Harold! Loved that scene when he was looking out the window next to the frog ornament!

Brookside was shown on Monday & Wednesdays in 1984. What feels like a jump in storyline where you think you’ve missed an episode is because of the big gap between the Wednesday and the following Monday’s episode. Events have probably happened off screen so life on the Close has carried on in those intermittent days so you have to fill in some of the gaps yourself.

Presumably Marie (and Michelle) had a catch up with their dad in those missing days
Ah yeah true.
The dad was annoying tbh. Glad he had a short stint.
I went down a rabbit hole of wiki ing Marie and then George to find out their future storyline too…..

Ha just watched that, I thought I can't see any difference!!
Yay we got abit of a look inside Dixon's front room!
That Josie is a right horror, why the hell does Mick keep taking her back.
Why is Rod putting frozen chickens on a shelf instead of the freezer!!
I was young when Brookside first came out and I remember my Mum and Dad absolutely loathing Josie!

Agree, Claire was a poppet! I wonder if the actress who played her did watch any of it, it was lovely of her to pop in here.
I like Margaret, she seems a proper down to earth lass, liked it when she was telling Max how to do diy! But bad they're treating her like a skivvy, Max and Patricia always came across as wannabe snobs to me!!!
Oh yes, I remember now @Maid22, she did pop in here, what a honour and it was lovely to hear her memories
Gosh, yes, The Farnhams were soo snobby, taking Thomas to birthday party!!!

I've missed a few weeks and from reading here I haven't bothered to watch
Why is Mick speaking with his teeth clenched all of the time?
And yes! Chrissies hair looked absolutely no different than before 🤣
And those glasses!
I shall try and watch next week hoping that things pick up a bit
The glasses make her eyes look like
“piss holes in the snow” as my granny used to say🤣
