But the real point here is whether we believe that any women in her thirties should be deemed 'incapable' and have birth control forced upon them?
I never said that at all, additionally @jackolantern my attitude is not damaging at all, if anything I want to see everything done to prevent Britney getting into another situation where she is financially used by a partner or has another breakdown.
Like you said none of us know, we’re also all entitled to our own opinions, there isn’t one right opinion.

To add to my above post, havent the vast majority of us made mistakes when it came to men, love, work, family and so on? But those mistakes, were not in the public eye and so we learned and moved on. Everything Britney has done since her teens has been picked apart and these people have jumped on that.

Sorry but I think an attitude of a women not being able to have a child or get married because she has mental health issues is *incredibly* damaging. The same would never be said about a man. Made even worse by the fact we don't even know if said woman has such issues and are basing this assumption solely off a social media platform we don't even know that she is behind. This kind of opinion is quite literally what put Britney where she is, so if anything, she's a shining testament to how damaging it is.

Again, we all don’t know her medical history, but past behaviour factual not social media posts, does indicate Mental Health issues, which don’t go away, her children were put into situations where their safety was questionable, driving with them on her lap and locking them in a bathroom, at no point did I say she shouldn’t have a child, but certainly don’t think having a child with Sam is a good idea, his intentions are questionable. Again, we’re all entitled to our own opinion.

Past behaviour that was over a decade ago? That gets to dictate the rest of someone's life with no chance to show things have changed? Or are we talking about her social media, which again, we don't even know she runs. We are entitled to our opinions, we are also entitled to disagree with them. It scares me that people who claim to be pro freeing Britney, can do that whilst simultaneously wanting to keep huge restrictions on her because they feel fit to judge her apparent 'capacity'.

Have you read my posts? I’ve repeatedly explained I am not basing it on social media but a lack of judgement in the past. I didn’t say she should have restrictions kept on her at any point. I said it’s worrying what could happen if she doesn’t have a clear and good judgement, which again you don’t know she does.

Yes I've read every single one, hence my replies. You only added the part about her past behaviour *after* I've quoted you, so I could not be psychic and reply to something that wasn't there at the time. Although as you'll see, I referenced her past anyway and I stand by the fact it is simply wicked to say she isn't fit to have children based on behaviour over a decade ago. Which is a restriction you indeed mentioned, with no mention of 'could'. Obviously there will be circumstances where people don't change, but I prefer the viewpoint that she should be given a chance to make her own decisions with support *if* she needs it. Not people who don't even know the poor girl claiming her unfit without any recent evidence. Everyone deserves a chance.

So you’ve based your assumptions
On something that happened 13 years ago then? For all we know her judgments at the time might have been based purely due to post partum depression rather than anything else that has been mentioned in the media or by fans

the way that she spoke in court, she doesn’t sound like someone who doesn’t know how to manage her life

you have kanye west walking around trying to run for president and god knows what else and Britney can’t even get her nails done, does that sound right to you?

no one knows what she will or won’t do and its not up to anyone else to decide this for her and she needs to be able to live her life

Nope my comment was based on being realistic and again people oversimplifying an issue that is a lot more complex than we know but do carry on attacking someone for having a different view 😘

There is no attacking, no being heated, nothing. People just disagreeing with your view, which will happen with every opinion. This thread is pro Britney being freed so obviously people are going to be incredibly passionate and upset to hear despite everything she has been through, the narrative is still being ran that she isn't deserving of her own life choices. If we were all judged on mistakes we made 13 years ago, none of us would be anywhere. I don't think it is 'realistic' to say she lacks capacity to get married or a family based on a 13 year old event. If anything that oversimplifies the complex issue by putting an automatic no without any further look into Britney's current state.

Not all mental health issues are permanent. I think there is a huge stigma and a lot of misinformation around when it comes to mental health. Like most illnesses you can manage even chronic mental illensses with the right therapy that they are not effecting your daily life. Not chronic mental illnesses go away after treatment. It is like a broken arm - it will heal, but if you fall again it is easier to break again since the bone is less stable. But I think you will agree that this does not mean you will never you use your arm becasue it could break again.

I never knew much about britney, but her story has me hooked.

I understand lindsay loan's conservatorship was abandoned as she didn't really have any money left at the time, well nothing like the millions the others had. I'm surprised at Amanda Bynes having enough money to make it worthwhile for the evil lou, I like to think her parents really have her best interests at heart, at she hasn't been made to be the workhorse britney was.

Anyone else remember mischa Barton was sectioned after a tooth extraction, I wonder if lou attempted the same thing with her?

Charlie sheen, Robert Downey Junior and Kayne West all had very public mental illness episodes and no one came forward to strong arm them into a c'ship - it appears to be something that happens to female celebrities that need to be 'guided' (controlled) by the men in their lives. Kanye seemed to effortlessly dodge the 5150's and has now moved away from Kim / Kris. I wonder if khloe's husband was placed under one??

Britney's father seems to be treating her like a naughty teenager, grounding her, withholding her allowance, not letting her have junk foods, forbidding her from seeing friends etc. Only rewarding her with a nail appointment, or new hair extensions if she completes all her chores. Not letting her go shopping as she has loads of clothes and too much money is being spent etc.

He's the nightmare controlling parent who can't let go, and he's making her pay him for the privilege of Daddy knows best.

I hope that she is allowed to freeze some if her eggs if she really wants more children, as this conservatorship won't be sorted for a long time.
You are so right about the male thing. I’ve always wondered why Michael Jackson wasn’t put into a conservatorship as well but… He’s not a female. If Britney Spears was a man, this absolutely would never have happened to her.

it's true her instagram makes her look like someone who's mentally unstable, but surely it can't be used as a proof in favour of the cship in court. I mean, hasn't the judge heard the way Britney articulates her speech and how she's totally capable of evaluating a situation and understand problems?
If anything her social media should be a proof of how fcked up her team is and how manipulative they are by changing the whole story.

Whilst I am completely against her Dad controlling her life, it’s obvious to me that Britney doesn’t have the capacity to make the best decisions for herself, I think the bf is dodgy AF. I saw a blind on Blind Gossip, not sure if that’s been posted. I don’t think getting married or having another child is a sensible decision for her. She also doesn’t seem to like ‘Ms Montgomery’ the joint conservator?

Wish Felicia was there for her but would Britney want her to be? I do believe she lacks capacity to manage her money and make the right judgements in life but Jamie should be removed entirely. I don’t understand why her siblings have not spoken on it and I feel that we don’t know the medical information for her own good.

One thing I am sure of is that Sam is not trustworthy and I think he could take advantage of the situation…https://blindgossip.com/money-management-questions/#more-102600
Would you like someone like Jodie montogomery been in control of YOU? did you listen to what Britney said on Wednesday? Did you hear what she was saying about her family and team? That they should all be in jail/sued for the way they’ve abused her? 😳😡. Maybe she does need some help with certain things in her life but to the extent of what’s she’s under now? Absolutely not!! Wow I’m blown away that anyone could think differently after hearing Britney on Wednesday.

You seem pro ‘team’. I just want to say and I apologise because I am repeating myself because I have already spoken about this. I strongly believe that Britney had post natal depression, which I had myself when I was 18 and believe me I was not thinking straight in a lot of ways but I was lucky because I had my family who truly love me around me. Did she? No, no she didn’t. When she locked herself in the bathroom they were telling her she wouldn’t be able to see her children again. What would you do? 🥺. I can’t deal with people who think that it is ok what she’s been going through, yes the last 13 years but it goes on longer than that on some ways. It’s not ok for anybody never mind Britney Spears to be treated this way EVER!! I am sorry but I am very passionate when it comes to Britney and even more so now hearing her speak her truth!!

He mentions Lou but more importantly he’s willing to testify 🙏🏻🙏🏻

More and more people speaking out 🥺. Oh my goodness 😢 Britney your loved by so many.

Louis Walsh had this to say about her stint on X Factor:

Edit: oh, odd ... not sure why Newshub isn't available outside of NZ. Anyhoo, he said: "Music manager and former X Factor judge Louis Walsh claims Britney Spears was so heavily medicated on the set of The X Factor in 2012 she would routinely collapse in her seat."

What about, say, Robert Downey Jr? He abused drugs, was found asleep in a strangers bed, drove under the influence, went to jail…I wonder what restrictions are now placed upon him based on his past behaviour? I’m guessing none. What’s the difference here…think…
