I was just thinking. If Britney wasn’t as famous as she is, and was a regular person under what she is now, wouldn’t it be easy for her to go to the doctor on her own and get the IUD removed? If it was a random clinic how would they know she was under one?

I never knew much about britney, but her story has me hooked.

I understand lindsay loan's conservatorship was abandoned as she didn't really have any money left at the time, well nothing like the millions the others had. I'm surprised at Amanda Bynes having enough money to make it worthwhile for the evil lou, I like to think her parents really have her best interests at heart, at she hasn't been made to be the workhorse britney was.

Anyone else remember mischa Barton was sectioned after a tooth extraction, I wonder if lou attempted the same thing with her?

Charlie sheen, Robert Downey Junior and Kayne West all had very public mental illness episodes and no one came forward to strong arm them into a c'ship - it appears to be something that happens to female celebrities that need to be 'guided' (controlled) by the men in their lives. Kanye seemed to effortlessly dodge the 5150's and has now moved away from Kim / Kris. I wonder if khloe's husband was placed under one??

Britney's father seems to be treating her like a naughty teenager, grounding her, withholding her allowance, not letting her have junk foods, forbidding her from seeing friends etc. Only rewarding her with a nail appointment, or new hair extensions if she completes all her chores. Not letting her go shopping as she has loads of clothes and too much money is being spent etc.

He's the nightmare controlling parent who can't let go, and he's making her pay him for the privilege of Daddy knows best.

I hope that she is allowed to freeze some if her eggs if she really wants more children, as this conservatorship won't be sorted for a long time.

I don't hold a lot of hope for her freedom, sadly ... the judge presiding over this latest judgment is the same one who signed off on the conservatorship.

Exactly. It’s pretty obvious to me that this is about corruption and money. When you have enough money to pay off the judge… You can get things to happen. Especially here in the United States and especially in Hollywood. I’ve been a Britney fan since I was a little girl when her first album came out… It is breaking my heart but part of me feels that Britney won’t be out of this conservatorship for a very long time. They have her trapped.

I can't believe they are allowed to use the same judge like this, I would have thought it would be sensible to get another judge, like you can get a second opinion from a doctor

Whilst I am completely against her Dad controlling her life, it’s obvious to me that Britney doesn’t have the capacity to make the best decisions for herself, I think the bf is dodgy AF. I saw a blind on Blind Gossip, not sure if that’s been posted. I don’t think getting married or having another child is a sensible decision for her. She also doesn’t seem to like ‘Ms Montgomery’ the joint conservator?

I don't think you can take her social media presence as evidence of anything. Unless you know her personally none of us can actually attest to Britney's capacity. I think her 'team' have done a very fine job of making her look mentally unstable though that's for sure.

I agree, and being basically denied of all of my basic human rights/freedoms I cannot imagine my mental health would be doing well regardless of how it had been before, totally different situation but look how much so many people's mental health (myself included) has been affected during lockdown with the lack of socialising and being basically stuck at home or working in stressful situations

I agree, and being basically denied of all of my basic human rights/freedoms I cannot imagine my mental health would be doing well regardless of how it had been before, totally different situation but look how much so many people's mental health (myself included) has been affected during lockdown with the lack of socialising and being basically stuck at home or working in stressful situations

Exactly this! So many of us have mental health problems, like you say from lockdown's etc, but also just pre-existing anyway, life's bloody hard! I honestly don't think I would be 10% as functioning as Britney if I had been through what she has. She has the strength of 1000 bulls and I hope one day she can use it to give all the people responsible for putting her here, exactly what they deserve. Although it will never give her back what they have taken from her which is the worst part of it all. Mental health issues does not mean someone shouldn't get married or have a baby, just that they might need more support, support being the operative word here, a team who have her back, not what she has now.

exactly, I also think growing up as a child star often leads to mental health issues later on as you have basically missed a lot of "normal" childhood milestones. Obviously her situation is much more extreme for various reasons

I didn't say she was though, that's the difference. Attitudes like the one you stated are so damaging to Britney, continuing the narrative that she lacks capacity and needs to stay sheltered. Even *if* she has mental health issues, it categorically does not mean she should be denied choices in her own life. Even if other people don't think they are the correct ones.
