I think it’s desperately sad today’s ruling, especially that it was signed after her revelations to the court. I know it wasn’t the same case as today’s was relating to November but everyone and their dog heard that audio. Why is she being failed

From my understanding this is a ruling relating back to last November. Maybe, just maybe the judge is thinking that Britney has all the evidence against her father to end the conservatorship completely so at this stage in the game there’s no real point in removing her father and finding someone else. If all the evidence in the case for ending the conservatorship is against her father then surely appointing someone new just puts the whole sage back another step. I’m probably making no sense but I know what I’m trying to say 🙈
I like your reasoning there...I just wonder why not just leave it ? Surely they can see the whole world watching and talking about? People coming out with support for Britney and telling their truth and experiences whilst been around Britney and ‘team’. If britneys statement and the entire world watching isn’t going to change anything...then what is it going to take? They’ve got to do something. This can not go on any longer. I don’t know how they sleep at night and carry on living a day to day life with this hanging over their heads. I absolutely would not be able to live with myself.

These people have no soul. Money talks, everyone has a price, and these people are making a lot of money from Britney. It’s not just her conservators who benefit, she pays all their legal fees too as well as her own so she’s a huge earner for the court too. It’s absolutely inhumane

Was everything that happened in court reported on? I wonder if there is something the court has been made aware of that has made them keep the conservatorship. Not that I agree with it.

This is what my partner think, there must be more to the story as to why they are still going ahead with it.

I guess i can kinda see it, we are only adding things together we dont really know what goes on behind closed doors and what her mental health is really like.

For all we know she may be completely incapable of basic things we just don’t know. I just hope she’s happy!

After the ruling today even though it doesn’t relate to last week, I don’t hold out much hope about her conservatorship ending anymore.

neither, I really just cannot believe it. Personally, I think it is ridiculous that she needs someone controlling her life anyway but if they are insisting she does why not get someone other than her dad? you can see how desperate she is to get rid of him by the fact that she is not even arguining she doesn;t need someone at all. Imagine as a grown adult pleading in court to have a different person control your life

My thoughts are that it’s either:
1)The judge has been paid off,
2) it is a stupid technicality thing and can be tried again soon or
3) she’s actually really ill and needs something in place.
If it is 3 I think that the conservatorship isn’t working or the best thing to support her. That’s a massive problem with mental health problems, especially if they don’t follow similar patterns. Some things I’ve read make me think that she needs something and she isn’t fully well herself (such as her dancing in those Instagram posts, she really seems out of it) but then I think ‘well maybe that’s what her minders want you to think’. Plus she sounded quite ok in the leaked audio (if a little rushed and tripping over her words, but that is probably down to the stress of the situation).

The BBC covered some of it, they noted

The documents filed on Wednesday refer only to the November request, in which Spears asked for the private wealth management firm the Bessemer Trust to be appointed as her "sole conservator".

Although Judge Brenda Penny refused to remove Jamie Spears from his position, she did agree to the Bessemer Trust's role as co-conservator of the star's multi-million dollar estate.

One thing I found particularly of interest was they said "Mr Spears is unable to hear and address his daughter's concerns directly because he has been cut off from communicating with her".

So it seems to me he is only taking responsibility over her estate for now but Jodi is responsible for her as a person. It’s good (if true) that he’s been cut off from communicating with her. It’s also good they highlighted that
"It is not acceptable for Conservators or the Court to do nothing in response to Ms Spears' testimony."

So with those remarks I do think there is still hope for Britney being free one day. It’s also not clear if she’s filed yet to end the conservatorship because the BBC claim “However, the judge cannot make a ruling based on her statement until she files a formal petition to terminate the arrangement.”

I suppose from a legal standing though it’s 2 separate hearings. By closing down that one she is now free to petition to end the conservatorship rather than just changing who is in charge of it.
I agree, this needs to end but everything with the courts and justice system just seems to take forever which is disgusting.

I’m still holding out hope for her, the hearing on the 14th of July is still going ahead, it’s not over.

The next hearing in the case is currently scheduled for July 14.

It is possible that a petition to remove Jamie Spears as co-conservator will be initiated at this hearing, or indeed a hearing to completely end the petition altogether.

🤯🤯 wow

So that just leaves Jamie fully in charge 🤬🤬 something that she truly does not want. What is wrong with americas legal system? It’s sickening to the core. Oh Britney I hope your ok 😔.
Is this not worse for her though, is it not now just her Dad? Oh wait you edited before I posted lol.

Yesss I got a head of myself and forgot to add my thoughts. Some things I’ve read what could be happening behind the scenes....Ingham could be going that’s why nothings been filed. I doubt that though...YET. They are moving forward but not yet filed 🤷🏼‍♀️ Could be neither.

Bessemer leaving says EVERYTHING!!!!!

Sorry but there's no way to convince me she has a severe form of mental illness

Especially after hearing her 23 min speech in court

Can't believe how some of u can be so naive. You have no idea of what money can do to people
And as far as I'm concerned all I see here, is a bunch of individuals who are thirsty for Britney's dollars and who are literally trying their best not to cut bait

I just read an article, it states that the company are requesting to withdraw from the conservatorship because they were under the impression it was voluntary and Britney was in agreement to it but because of her statement last week they want to withdraw as they believe it is abusive. Hopefully now this will bounce back to the court whose duty is to appoint a conservatorship and maybe that can actually help her case? Because any company who do take it on are taking the free Britney army on their back too. Maybe this is finally the tide turning? Maybe wishful thinking but hopefully for Britneys sake it is the beginning of change

I don’t for one second think they thought it was voluntary, I just don’t think they thought she’d ever have a voice and they’d get the bad press. Either way though, I agree, I hope this is the start for her

Yes there’s actual court documents Ingham stating that the conservatorship ‘is voluntary’ 🤬🤬.
