I'm still inclined to think that Sam had no idea what Britney would be like off her meds and he's just decided this Britney is not for him.

I don't know if he's a gold digger (and I don't think anyone would care if it was a famous man in his 40s with a much younger woman) but I do think he at least liked the Britney he spent the first 4 years of his relationship with. He didn't post her much on Instagram but if you scroll back to 2018 - 20 the posts of them he did share were pretty normal couply stuff. Cute filters, award shows, working out together. She looks fit and pretty well put together.

He was just a little boy (possibly living in Iran?) when Britney meltdown 1.0 happened. The swift deterioration after they ended her conservatorship must have blown his mind. Plus the Cade thing is just gross.

I don't blame him at all for leaving her. I do worry for her though - there's literally noone left to watch out for her now. Except her crazy stans (and they think she's a deepfake dead robot body double so good luck with that).

100% this! I also think potentially after the C-ship ended and she started to spiral again he’s tried to get her to get help and she’s refused, a person can only take that for so long.

After watching the video, it's a nothing event that has been blown out of proportion because she won't let it go.

She ran up and reached out to him, touching his back.
His security swatted her hand away without really looking in a clear dismissive "Get away, fool" manner.
Her own hand hit her face due to this.

Then she shouts and screams and it's a big drama because she '...was assaulted'.

I dont see what people are seeing when they say it's not her. I assume people just don't want to let go of the britney we all loved as a kid. I don't blame Sam at all, in fact I'm surprised it took this long and credit to him because I couldn't put up with that for all the money in the world! He may very well be a gold digger but how many women go for an older male and its seen as fine. I don't think she is very bothered, she's buying a horse seems to me she's better matched with that grubby looking Cade fella. I don't think this will make her get help, I don't think anything will do that. I think there will be more holidays, humping the beach and nonsense bitter posts until unfortunately a PA finds her in her own vomit

She hasn't always danced like she does now, she used to dance, now she twirls and grabs her boobs. She's like your really drunk mate trying to lure a bloke at the bar away from the bar and onto the dance floor.

Yeah I’m not so sure about the cheating bit, I mean with who? She doesn’t really go anywhere does she? I wonder if Sam is just using it as an excuse to get out of the relationship. I guess time will tell!

I think her dancing is based on some moves she did in the past. She's like one of those talking or dancing toys that's broken and gets stuck on a loop playing/ doing the same thing over and over. That's what I think of when I see her twirling over and over

At the end of the day regardless of wether the guard slapped her purposefully or not, she shouldn’t be running up to strangers and grabbing them from behind. If someone did that to me I’d always assume they meant me harm. It’s not normal behaviour and she would criticise people for doing it to her.

I’ve told this story bwfore but I spent the better part of the day with her around the time crossroads came out, think was just before Justin split. She was so sweet gave me all the time in the world chatting to me like we were equals, kept getting her dancers to come over and make sure I was ok in between takes (was the Britney smtv and cduk tv special whole day of filming) and she asked for my address so she could write to me which she did once. Seen some people saying some pretty nasty stuff about her and how deep down she’s always been like this. She was the biggest star on the planet at this point, I was in a wheelchair unable to walk at the time so was sat away from the rest of the audience/crowd which is why I got 1:1 time with her and her dancers

Suppose the footage didn't exist and we went along with the 'always believe the woman' mentality, that young basketball player could have had his career destroyed as it began. Lives have been ruined on the basis of always believe the woman regardless of the facts.

To the poster that said 'Equality can feel a lot like punishment when you're used to privilege', Britney is the privileged one in this scenario. Britney is the one who felt entitled to sneak up behind a stranger and touch him without his consent. Britney is the one who gets to cry victim while he has to defend himself for an incident he didn't invite

Fuck the #freebritney lot , this woman is mentally ill as in she will always be this way, She starts to refuse meds and this is the result spiralling and taken advantage of. I don't think her dad should have ever taken over the conservatorship but is an independent 3rd party so bad? Someone who wouldn't benefit financially ? Would it be so bad for britney to have MH teams looking out for her?

This is the reality for people with SMI , they need to take their meds and live a simple life or this happens. I dislike britneys dad but he made sure she would never be in poverty.

She's not speaking with her siblings or her dad, and we're told there are no friends around to support her. Her children have moved to Hawaii, without saying goodbye. As sad as it is I am starting to believe Britney is the problem here, she’s never had great relationships with anybody, she’s been in countless relationships with men that never last, doesn’t appear to have any close friends and has never had a great relationship with her family. She’s pushed everybody away even possibly people that are genuinely trying to help her. Judging from her instagram posts she appears to just blame everyone else for the way she is and for things that have happened and to an extent yes her family and anybody around her that was enabling her are at fault too but she’s just as much to blame as well like she doesn’t appear to be doing anything to help herself and I’m sorry of this sounds harsh but you can only blame everybody else for so much, you need to take accountability for yourself as well and your own wrong doings.

I think something happened right at the point of the justin split (maybe the media backlash and being sad about splitting from her first bf? We’ve all been there…), got worse during the kevin era (drink, drugs, rebelling against the “system”, tired of working and just wanted to be a normal girl her age for a bit) then ppd triggered a bigger breakdown. I have a close friend that suffered terribly after having her daughter 13 years ago and she really has not been the same since (bipolar, anxiety etc)

I think since around 2003 things were being heavily covered up and now she is not being managed/monitored its just on full display to us all.

It’s often speculated that the Britney we see today is how she has always been and it was well hidden by the carefully crafted image. If that’s true it makes you wonder the lengths they must have gone to to keep it under wraps and at what point her issues really started to show.
