Judging by her tiny size and height she will probably need a C section which will require a lot of aftercare for her. Jesus it’s a lot to put your body through and as people are saying, she might be counselled and fine now but when those emotions and hormones kick in. Not to mention baby blues or post partum depression which is common. A lot to do for your brother. I don’t follow any of them but I saw that tictok with the 3 of them dancing and the poor girl looked morto and awkward - she’s like major content for them now and a performing chimp, all so they’ll get a few extra likes, paid ads or freebies. 🙄

Dont agree with you in regards to the c section.
I'm 4 10 and prepregnancy was under 25 BMI and have a very small frame was able to have a vaginal birth.
Unless she's decided to have a c section that's not fair to speculate.
But 100% agree about the postpartum blues, no matter how you are before hand once those hormones hit you are floored.
Having my child was the greatest thing to happen but I never felt so sad and down in my life.
The only thing that got me through is the skin to skin and the newborn bubble cuddles. She won't have that by what I've heard so she will seriously need to be looked after once she's given birth

I hate hearing people assume what aoife will feel after she gives birth. Has anyone here been a surrogate?

I think it's akin to saying how people would feel after an abortion, that it's the hardest decision in a woman's life. My balls, I've had an abortion, would have a million more if I had to and haven't regretted it or felt like it was a life changing event ever.

Everyone is not the same! I'm sure she will be absolutely fine and feel like the most amazing person in the world having given her bro and bro in law the most amazing gift anyone could wish for! She's not a child, she's a grown woman and has made this decision and is more than capable.

I agree with you on your points, I think what she has chosen to do for her brother is amazing and an incredible selfless act to do.

I hope she does feel amazing for what she's done but my point is that I hope that after her amazing act that she gets the support she deserves. Again she could feel completely fine but we don't have control over what our hormones do to us.

I would say the same thing about any surrogate not just this situation. It takes a really strong person to do what she's doing

Yeah being petite Is no indication of how it will go - I’m 5’1 and less than 8 stone and had fast labours on both - no time for epidurals and no stitches / tears etc. my mum is tall and broad and had awful labours. Anyway it’s only part of it - I can’t imagine doing it for anyone so she’s amazing and hopefully she’ll be ok

Well that’s good for you but Brian has made it clear on a podcast that Aoife actually wants children and is doing this in part so she can experience pregnancy for possibly the only time, as she doesn’t feel like it will happen for her. So while I understand your input, your situation is not at all the same. Her desire to have her own baby and how she feels it won’t happen for her adds a whole layer of sadness and complexity to this situation, understandably.

Not the point though
We all agree she is her own person, but most commenters can relate that no matter what you think you will feel before the child is born, it can not be understood until you give birth, because it’s basically out of your control. It’s hormones, not a stable state of mind. Down the line she will feel like a superhero and so she should. No one is trying to shame her Or guarantee how she will feel but most people will agree that what you think you will experience is far from the reality. It’s from a place of sympathy and love, not nastiness .I’ve commented and I truly hope I’m wrong but it’s hard to see how they’ve all got this plan nailed and fool proof and do you know what, I’ll be the one to bleeping say it… two blokes can’t even begin to understand the physical and mental toll of child carrying and birth so sorry to anyone that thinks it’s unfair but they are frankly in a dream world. Again… I hope I am wrong but it’s a ticking time bomb

Sorry I didn’t mean to offend you or any petite women out there in relation to sections and your height. Whatever way the baby is born will mean a period of her getting recovery and back to herself. After having natural deliveries with big babies, I felt like I was hit by a bus! 😂😂😂

We won't fall out over it 😉 but 100% it's hard to describe unless you under the recovery from any form of birth.

It's because she hasn't had children of her own that will make this 10 times harder. Brian, Arthur and Aoife have no idea how this is going to pan out because they've never been through it before. I hope she genuinely feels OK after and doesn't just pretend to save everyone's feelings.

He really is a grabby scab. Going from Salon to Salon getting what he can for free. More fools them for giving it to him. And now Aoife the shadow on tow.

Is that all he does now going from salon to salon for treatment? It's pathetic. Regarding Aoife I would worry for her. Its a first baby and she has no partner or other children so it's going to be really difficult for her. Those emotions after childbirth are very real and it'll be tough on your own.

More fool th salons if they r giving them 4 free. They r obviously not working if he has to have so many treatments. 2 b honest wouldn't enhance me to go to any of them if they cam afford to give away treatments they don't need my business. I'm very suprised th sister is going along with it. I thought she would have more sense and not want to be on public display.

All part of the plan so Aoife will become well enough known to be a full-time influencer (scrounger) once the kid is born.
