that didnt answer the question
If you can read between the lines then it does. Maybe you're not capable
Because it is their body and they have the right to utilise a perfectly good alternative. You have no right to question another woman’s decisions on what to do with her body.

How do you know if a woman is breastfeed? Don’t worry she’ll tell you. Worse than vegans 🤣

P.S I’m currently breastfeeding, literally as I type this (see I told you, worse than a vegan).
In my opinion formula is not "prefectly good." If it made no difference to baby's health then whatever, but it potentially has a huge impact. This is the part I don't get.

I agree that support is essential and also acknowledge you weren’t the only snarky poster. However whilst kellymom is accessible and supportive, it isn’t some gotcha to prove your & other posters points. And being a BF counsellor requires a very low level of scientific knowledge/ research

Absolutely, breastfeeding will not prevent lots of conditions , it's just risk lowering. Genetics/fate probably play a bigger role.
So you ARE capable of accepting that genetics fate and lifestyle have a bigger impact then? 😁 "its just risk lowering".
And I say again. All 4 of my children are happy healthy functioning adults lol. I was not breastfed either btw...

With my first baby, I really struggled as I have inverted nipples and she couldn’t latch. After the first week she’d lost so much weight the doctors told me I had to formula feed because she was so tiny. I was devastated and tried pumping for her for a month and hardly produced any milk.

My second baby I managed to breastfeed him for 2.5 months before I had to return to full time teaching - 7am - 5pm and I really struggled pumping for him while at work.

Both my kids are super healthy - they rarely even get a cold. I felt a lot of guilt for not being able to feed them both for longer but in the end it is what it is. It really upsets me people saying lack of milk is just an excuse. It was so real for me and I’m sure for many others.
For goodness sake dont express that opinion in here. I totally agree with you, but TravelYappy will jump on you and tell you you need an Education ..... which she enjoys giving you 😂😂

I haven’t said you feed just milk however milk should be their main meal until really close to 1. Weaning should come more natural. I did baby lead weaning with kids I looked after and my own child and find filling up a baby with baby rice or rubbish cereal it’s really not a good idea

I suppose it’s up to parents to feed their kids whatever they want. Hey why stop at baby rice and not feed them pies at 4 months. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Also ruining your kids gut it’s dangerous it might not kill them but they will suffer their whole life. IBS is one of the things can happen to kids weaned to early. I for one was not prepared to take that risk with my baby. For an extra month or two of just milk?
I have IBS and coeliac

Let’s keep the arguments to a minimum 😬

Everyone can have an opinion,
attacking each other with the Tommee Tippee isn’t necessary 😉

I've seen a hack where people use a Hakka filled with hot water and attach it the breast, apparently the combination of steam and suction can help clear blocked ducts? I've never had mastitis ,(touch wood) but have read in lots of places that you should continue to feed baby from that side. Hope you feel better soon

I presume the recent flurry of posts on this thread are to do with kate ferdinand and her blatant advertising for mam this week?

Yeah, then they were poorly and starting feeding a lot.
Now they can't latch at that side as I'm so swollen
Oh that sounds horrendous. Hot compresses and expressing, and then I’ve read recently that I’ve packs in between feeds/expressing help keep the swelling down and alleviate some pain.

Just because she did at the start doesn’t mean she would be able to for longer. I hate these posts debating what type of feeding she’s doing. It’s no ones business but hers. And that’s coming from someone who finds it very annoying and rude when someone asks if I’m bf. What’s it got to do with anyone
I couldn’t give a shit how she feeds her kid. I was just responding to the fact that because she is talking about not being able to, people were saying she cant. I was pointing out another one of her lies.... I have no interest in how anyone feeds their kids! Their kid, their choice!

I feel like I’ve missed something... who’s got a baby called Grey and is struggling with breastfeeding?
Lily pebbles, breastfeeding is tough to get to grips with for normal people let alone a serial whinger like lily.
Saying that she’s giving a much more accurate representation of how it is than fleur did
