I saw Brian supporting Ronan on tour and he was so arrogant and cocky you just think stay in your lane mate!

OMG this is a bit of me!! In my naive and innocent youth I LOVED a boy band cheesy tune. From Take That to 911 to Boyzone, to Bad Boys Inc (who came to my school and to a local under 18s disco night so I saw them twice in one day) to 5ive to Blue to Damage. Also PJ and Duncan, altho prob not technically a boy band. But my heart was (and probably always will be a little bit) with Westlife. Saw them as a support act for Boyzone (when they were called Westside at the very start!) and fell in love. And true love lasts a life time 🥰 I’ve been to every tour they have done until Wembley Stadium, which was an amazing night, in 2022.

There is always a sad story behind them tho, with dodgy managers or drugs or general twat behaviour. Sad times. But they don’t make a boy band like they used to. So nostalgic!!

Not a fan of boyzone but found the documentary interesting, and a bit moving.

Louis Walsh doesn't come out of it very well at all. Always thought he was slimey, and this hasn't changed my mind. Ronan didn't come off too well either, his tears were a bit protesting too much. Louis outing Stephen seems highly likely, he couldn't hide his glee at that newspaper. And you know what, Ronan doing it actually wouldn't shock me either.

I'm sure that was the everything changes VHS when they all went to their favourite places, Jason went to a curry house, Robbie to Port Vale, Gary in the studio, Mark went home and I think Howard walked his tortoise round the park! I used to watch it all the time. It was the one where Robbie did all the interviews with no trousers on 😂
I still have that VHS  No way of watching it mind.

Talking of boybands, Max & Siva from The Wanted have relaunched themselves as a duo calling themselves The Wanted 2.0
You're watching Lorraine right now aren't you

I have never liked Brian McFadden and honestly the way he reacted when asked about Kerry cemented that even more for me, so arrogant and nasty and totally unnecessary. Louis was odd, it felt like he wasn’t all there, I felt like that when I saw clips of him on Big Brother too.
I think he was the root cause of a lot of Kerry's issues. Can't stand him. Really thought he was better than everyone else, was glad his career landed flat on its arse.

Robbie is so likeable, reflective and articulate. It's a miracle he didn't and up in the gutter permanently.

Heh the post above disagrees. I think that's true to some extent, but I think the difference for me is Robbie is self aware which makes him more endearing to me.
Robbie has really endeared himself to me in recent years. He is smarter than I gave him credit for.

It’s a shame that none of the other members of TT contributed, because I’d honestly love to hear their take on things (especially since they still ARE Take That so can’t even take themselves out of it so much). But I’m not sure they could ever be as articulate and reflective as Robbie is, like you say.

Anything brian says about kerry can be twisted as litigious or to set her off to OK. You cant deny he might be walking on egg shells. You're right about his daughters, theyre adults now and they also went to live with him at different points too.
I think it’s totally OK to say “I don’t want to talk about Kerry”. It was the way he said it: the look of contempt on his face and the hand gestures (can’t recall exactly what he was trying to do, other than a “zip it” kind of motion?). He could have kept it a LOT more civil and dignified than he did. He could have taken the moral high ground but couldn’t resist getting a few digs in.

Edit: cross posted with @Miss.Chanandler.Bong 😄

just watched the first ep

I'm so upset for mikey (or mick, as they call him). seems he's still carrying a lot of baggage, which is fair tbh

I'm even feeling some sympathy for ronan, what with the "get the blond one out" thing

I will never not be upset thinking about stephen

louis walsh and rav singh will never see heaven

Keith seems to be the most well adjusted still

I do find it amusing how a lot of these 90s bands will trundle along in a depleted form (5ive, S Club) for years, doing the nightclub circuit, then they'll randomly reunite as a full group every few years and do a proper big comeback with an arena tour. It's the circle of life. But good for them! I'd do it for the money too, it must be nice to have that to fall back on to build up your pension :ROFLMAO:

I really don’t think Ronan was the one to sell the story on Stephen. His reaction to seeing the newspaper again seemed genuine anger and upset.

I seem to be on my own here in not loving Robbie in the show. It was a bit past self aware for me, and seemed quite calculated and almost rehearsed. Designed to get the most airtime. I think it was sweet how he looked out for Sean though.

god, I'd forgotten all about ritchie and billie!

surely we must lay some blame at his door for her subsequent terrible taste in men 😬
I used to date a guy who’s claim to fame was that he went to school with Richie so knew his real name was actually Richard Neville Dobson 😂 This was way back in the days before Google and Wikipedia

They definitely need to do another couple of episodes, including Cleopatra Girls Aloud and if they can the Spice Girls and the Saturdays they could also do another season of mixed boy and girl bands
