I do think the complete lack of anywhere to do performances and interviews is interesting. In many ways the music industry is better now, but a lot has been lost. Back in the day you had TOTP, CD:UK, Live and Kicking, the Pepsi Chart show, the O Zone, Popworld, TFI Friday, even the lottery shows. Now there is hardly anything, especially skewed towards younger audiences. You get artists in Graham Norton or Strictly or whatever but that's one artist and one song, not a show celebrating music.

Brian was actually a great singer and Tony was magic. This song still makes me really think about society 🥺 32 years on.

If they show MN8 and PJ and Duncan I'll think I've died and gone to heaven.

I have an 8 year old niece and honestly part of me weeps for her because there just aren't good boybands and girlbands nowadays! I asked her the other day and she just shrugged 😂

a1 - same old brand new you.

not just a banger, a ✨classique✨

Currently have So Good on repeat coz it’s just such a bop but I love A Different Beat, One Kiss At A Time and of course Picture of You.

They never really had an ‘anthem’ though did they? Like TT; Never Forget.. Westlife; World Of Our Own.. East 17; Stay Another Day

I went to many, many BZ concerts and just don’t remember the same BIG song moment? Or have I just forgotten lol?!
I would think that No Matter What is their anthem/signature tune

Thoughts?
East 17 would win that hands down. Their only competition is Five but I think Five are just scrappy, East 17 are actually hard. I would hire John as a bouncer.

UK boybands would destroy the wet blankets from the US.

Excellent question Robbie. I really like his character.

Edit I just clicked on the full post and he's gone into a full member by member prediction 😂 I didn't consider Keith and Shane from Boyzone! I changed my mind, they're my bodyguards (and I'd be shagging Keith on the side).

I’m glad Robbie and Gary sorted out their differences. Robbie has done so much work on himself, I hope he’s proud of where he’s got to.

Just A Step From Heaven sends me into a turbo spin right back to 1994 every time I hear it 😍 what a tune. Their style in that video is still how I aspire to dress today.

They were so important to little brown girls like me.

And now Wannabe is spinning me back to a caravan holiday in the hot summer of 1996 collecting Tazos and making friends with a boy at the pool. What a time to be alive.

I’m glad Heidi is included in this. It annoys me how some Sugababes fans try to make out she wasn’t an important part
How dare they disrespect Heidi "Middle 8" Range! She was there for their best years.

Mikey was always very quiet and probably not cut out for the celeb lifestyle. I remember around the time of the initial split my mum calling me from our local in central London as Mikey was in there, he has a bodyguard with him to stop him playing the machines as he had a gambling problem. I had matured and no longer considered myself a 'fan' but popped in to be nosey. He was lovely just a normal bloke having a pint and chatting to the locals. Year later following Stephen's death I was on the same plane as the remaining four flying from Dublin to London (they boarded before everyone else as VIP's). I remember thinking Shane was a stunning man and Ronan was really short and acting like a prick.
I have come across Keith a few times in his charity work and he’s a gentleman. I really think Ronan was and is the ego of the band.

I’m just in the middle of the first part. She may be bitter but I remember absolutely loving Melanie Blatt’s hair and just general attitude 😍 She’s 50! Wish I looked like that now at 39😆. Atomic Kitten were a firm favourite too. Aaah layered, highlighted hair….still my go to look now 😆
I loved the combats and vest top combo that All Saints wore, it was a staple look for me.
I found it refreshing to see how fresh faced they looked, no fillers etc, candid photos without filters. Makes me sad in a way the way things have changed but I don’t know if that’s just me getting old!

I want to hear more about this interaction! How old were you and what led up to it?!
I was 13 nearly 14 and was outside the dominion theatre as take that were performing for the children’s royal variety performance. It was very early in their career but already Robbie was showing signs of not conforming. This is exactly how I remember it.

They all came out to greet the fans except for Robbie. I remember Gary saying he’s inside he’s not feeling too good. They were all so friendly and happy to see us, then suddenly Robbie came out. Naturally we all screamed and he had a face like a slapped arse. He kept coming near to us and then walking away, like he was teasing but not in a nice way. I screamed at him (like you do 🙈) can’t remember what I was screaming but I was a young kid. He came closer to the crowd and I was at the front, then he shouted in my face ‘you sad cow’. I walked away really upset and ran to a phone box to call my mum. I went right off him after that. I started looking for real boys instead. I think it killed my fantasy a bit 😆

My recollection over Jason leaving Take That is that it happened after the scandal broke about the other three members being involved in a huge tax avoidance scheme.

I've had a quick look online but can't find anything to back this up. However, my memory of the story is that Jason refused to join in with the scheme, viewing it as immoral and that it would tarnish their reputation and be a slap in the face to fans.

After they went ahead without him and the scandal eventually broke in the media, Jason left the band and subsequently went non-communication with them.

It's presented as Jason wanting to live a quiet life in the countryside, but I've seen him around in Manchester city centre chatting away with people. He's not a recluse.
