I'm not sure how this will work as a film. Will the octopus speak?
In the Netflix trailer it appears it's just a voiceover, no weird CGI or anything like that.

Well... I was wondering how Stego got his groove back. Though a slit bear his tail? Am I thinking too much into the logistics of a Stegosaurus?!I’ve been reading some reviews and someone has kindly included some highlights, it’s even better than I expected, the dinosaur can talk!

That's ok, different strokes for different folks and all that. I didn't think I'd like it and put off reading it forever but just loved it.I think I’m the only person alive who didn’t love that book. I do think Sally Field is great casting though.
See I expected to love it, I think my expectations were too high. I might need to stay away from bookstagram and the like. There’s so much hype around some books that will never be able to deliver. That's ok, different strokes for different folks and all that. South Dakota I could see, but is there a less offensive country than Canada?!WHY IS SOUTH DAKOTA A TRIGGER WARNING
Ugh the Beach Read casting is official.

I had a vision recently of me parked on the sofa in May watching Netflix and possibly Disney+.I'm so excited about this![]()
My other half loves a long nightly chat with me. He is banned from calling me next week. He's massively disturbed my reading time, he's not making me miss RBC.I had a vision recently of me parked on the sofa in May watching Netflix and possibly Disney+.
Obviously catching up on all the recommendations I've had, plus the things like this I've been excited for.
I've even started putting them in my phone's calendar so I don't forget them.
E.g. I didn't put the Count of Monte Cristo film down to remind me, so I've probably missed that at the cinema, as it was out in the cinema in the USA in December. Not sure when it opened in the UK.
Anyway Remarkably Bright Creatures is going on the calendar now!
Thank you!!![]()
Im around 75% kindle, 25% physical. Most of my physical books are from the chazza or the library even though i have a whole bookcase of books waiting to be read!New thread!![]()

To continue last thread discussion, I'm 99.9% Kindle/Kindle app nowadays.
I think I like the idea of a big pile of physical books more than the reality (and the cost!)
Is it self published?Im reading a book called the Shock of the Light. I think im enjoying it but I am massively bugged by the way the author keeps hyphenating words that should never be hyphenated eg pac-ific, ab-sorbed. Its driving me mad! Am I the only one or would you find it annoying too?
I dont think so, publisher is Borough Press! Is it self published?
I had this with a book that was self published and the formatting meant that in the font and page size it was originally written in, the words split over 2 lines. But obviously kindle users can have the dont size whatever size they want and the margins can differ etc.
Not sure I am explaining myself very well, but basically traditionally published this doesn't generally happen (and any decent editor would remove them!) But self published its more common

I haven’t read it but I’ve seen mention that Dev Patel was a fan favourite?Sorry to keep harping on the Beach Read book adaptation but no one in my life cares hahaha.
And this was hilarious (for those who haven't read the book, both main characters are writers).
