I’ve just finished Annie Bot by Sierra Greer. Not my usual thing but I’m trying to branch out. I was gripped throughout but a bit confused by the end…has anyone else read it?
I'm reading Game Changer (book 1 of series with Heated Rivalry) and don't get me wrong, I enjoyed books like Red, white and royal blue, or whatever it's called, but this is too much girlish lovey doveyness and waaaaay too much filth. Not sure I can get to the end and I never DNF! Just constantly skimming past rooster on rooster action.
I’m reading a Penguin Clothbound and just noticed the print is wearing off the cover, has happened to anyone else or is it my (perfectly normal?!) hands? Are they supposed to just be decorative?!

I absolutely binged all 6 books straight after watching the show, so I obviously feel quite different to you. But that is why there are so many books in the world, we are all going to prefer different things! So, if anyone did enjoy the Game Changers books and has any similar books to recommend (but not in the world of hockey, which is all the recommendations I seem to be getting now), please do share them.
i’m halfway through game changers and, while the writing isn’t great and game changer itself was not good, they’re very readable and the filth is actually for me the best part
i’m amazed by just how good ilya is as a character compared to everyone else she writes.if you’re meaning gay romances, i would rec anything by kj charles and cat sebastian. if you wanted to stay within hockey for a tiny bit, serina bowen does some great m/m stories. i’ve heard decent things about tal bauer but have never read anything by him. um; the charm offensive is great! freya marske is wonderful! sorcery and small magics for slow burn! red white and royal blue if you haven’t already read it!

Well you see I did like Red, White and Royal Blue - I might still try Heated Rivalry. I think it's just the characters, I don't like them! I grew up reading Hollyoaks m/m fic so it's not new to me, it's just something about this book...
I liked the Bridgerton series which is obviously mainstream romance but good in a trashy but readable way.
i would say that game changer is the absolute WORST in that series - it’s her first book and was originally captain america fanfiction (becomes obvious reading it when you know
). i read it for completions sake but scott and kip were just both so annoying and it was all way too fast.the series does get better. she’s not the best writer in the world but improves with every one imo and the characters are all much more likeable in the other books. and you get ilya in all of them, which is a bonus

Sort of off-topic but also not off-topic. Does anyone have any favourite knitting books? I'm very new to it and while there's lots of great pdf patterns out there I also do love a proper book. Doesn't need to just be a book of patterns, also books about the history of knitting/wool etc.
...and for those who do other crafts or hobbies, do you have a favourite book about it? I'm mostly a quilter and absolutely love Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns. It's a phenomenal resource, all painstakingly researched by Brackman over many years.

They is a nice book called The Golden Flece that is a story about wool that I enjoyed.
I am mostly self taught via YouTube, I'm a visual person so need the stitches/patternk shown in front of me. I buy my patterns from Etsy
