Yeah i dont know if i got it for free? Idk, it was a bookbox of 125 euros and I got 8 books out of it (all paperback, one of them an arc), some bookmarks, keychains, a mininotepad and pen, a badge, so it could very well have been that they threw that one in for free, because 7 paperbacks can also easily reach a 100 euros and change, so!

i hope its ok for me to link it! but its different sizes, you can pick which genre you want and even note down what books youd like or would not like to get. I went for the fantasy one, and got only one book in there i already had (which... was impressive, considering i have a lot of fantasy books but filled it in at work and had to go by whatever i could remember already having to go like: DO NOT SEND THIS BC I ALREADY HAVE IT). My friend also did it and had nothing doubled up on what she already had, and also got an acr out of it. We both got it within 7 weekdays (though we both live in the Netherlands), so internationally it might take a bit longer, but it is quite rapid and they do send it all over the world!

Chapter 92. I think this is the Strike book I will have the most to say about. I have made notes so that when more of us have read it we can discuss. There are 127 chapters, hoping to be done today but I have a ton of things going on.
I see that Philip Pullman's book 'The Rose Field' is out in hardback next month. Anyone else interested? I've read all the others.

I think I will wait until it is out in paper back as the other two I have are paperback and i have a huge TBR. But I do want to read it.
The Broken Binding are doing a sprayed edge version of The Strength of the Few, and they have some copies of The Will of the Many - it is expensive (£54 plus shipping), just mentioning it because I know it's a popular book!

D'you remember when I accidentally ordered most of the Strike books from the library.
I think I must have made the librarian's year when I picked up these "tomes". The look of panic on my face made her cackle so much. Knowing I had 3 weeks to read them and couldn't renew my hold of them as there were so many people wanting them!
Imagine her shock when I returned them about 10 days later as they were so easy to read. I whizzed through them. I too was cackling inside.

I'm currently reading The Safekeep by Yael Van Der Wouden. (Sorry if already mentioned, I only dip in and out of here). It is incredible. Not to everyone's taste but was shortlisted for last year's Booker prize and for a first time novel is incredible. If you want fast pace and lots of plot it's not for you.
It just gets better! I think I am in love with Cormoran.I've got to Part 2. Can't wait to binge more tonight

I'll get the audiobook as that's how I "read" the rest of the book of dust. I don't know whether to listen to the other two again in advance, the last one I didn't love so much and was annoyed it ended where it did but I also kind of feel like I don't remember it well enough.

If you haven't read The Strike series, like a detective book and haven't read these you are missing out. Read them now. Hands down the best detective series there is. Says something about Rowling that she can switch from Harry Potter to Cormoran Strike in the click of a finger. Such talent.
Anyway. Treat your mind, go read the series.
on 'the list' now. They weren't really on my radar before, and I'm looking forward to them, especially now autumn is on the way

Similar for me, all I remember from the last one is a scene (maybe the ending?!) with Lyra that I really didn’t like aside from that I didn’t enjoy the book enough to re-read.. but will read the new one.
