I know for some reason amazon cannot let us see the kindle deals in categories anymore but I do wish they could let us exclude graphic novels at least!!!!!

RATING SYSTEMS!

1 STAR: abysmal, irredeemable, makes me annoyed to think about.
2 STAR: didn't like whatsoever but had some kind of positive, maybe it felt like the author had a crumb of actual skill.
3 STAR: either a solid but unremarkable book or a mixed bag of things I love and hate. Otherwise good books where the pet is hurt will also automatically find themselves here.
4 STAR: the books I recommend to friends. They're good, they're objectively good, I have no notes but they just don't give me that Friday feeling.

5 STAR: vibes alone. It might be objectively terrible. You might wonder why ACOTAR is here when the Pulitzer winning Olive Kitteridge is a solid 3. To be 5 stars you need to hit one of my personal sweet spots. Maybe it made me sob, maybe it had a time loop where the character is their own mother and father, or maybe it has Rhysand in it.

I started sorting by price for this reason, but it's not a solid fix, unfortunately!

I don't think I have anything new to add to the star ratings but I've got an hour and a half to kill at work so!

⭐ Absolutely horrible, if I could, I'd go through the streets holding this book screaming "shame, shame, shame" a la GoT.

⭐⭐ *Something* about this book was good (the concept or the plot or a character or the writing) but the book as such was a mess (said like Sebastian from Little Mermaid).

⭐⭐⭐ Enjoyed it but it was either just good or there were some elements that didn't click for me. Would probably not reread it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great book. Objectively well crafted. Would re-read and recommend to friends and will probably be my personality for a day or two.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inject it into my veins and be ready for me to be absolutely insufferable in my burning love for this.

The difference between 4 and 5 I'd say is basically that je ne sais quoi haha. Like both star ratings mean extremely good books but 5s just have that something that turn them into book crack for me.

Completely different for me (I love crime thrillers) but Project Hail Mary is amazing - half way through and the geek in me loves it. Any other fans? Can’t wait for the film with Ryan Gosling next year

Someone on here recommended it on audiobook so I’m considering it for my next credit. Not my usual thing at all but it looks like it could be good.

For fans of Under your spell by Laura Wood (my surprise fave romcom last year with the lovely Theo!) she's got a new one out 'Make a scene'. I'm only a few pages in but enjoying it already!

Just thought I’d check the works site for it and they have a sprayed edge edition.. no chance of resisting it now.

I pre ordered her special signed edition and I'm (im)patiently waiting for it to arrive. I adored her historical YA-ish books. Liked Under Your Spell well enough. But this one sounds perfect for my romance taste.

Same here! Brilliant story. I really hope the film next year is good. I’ve not watched the trailer but been told there’s major spoilers in it (for those that haven’t read the book of course).
