I generally will just start the next one, but in some cases definitely find that I need a day or two to process and if I try to start something else too soon I find I just can't really settle into a new book. How quickly do you pick up a new book?
From the last page of one to the firstpage of the next?
The books I read just as books I can pick the next one up later that day/tomorrow.
But some books (Sebastian - This is How We Are Human) give me a hangover and I need to sit with that. And then others - The Strike series I need to sit and process all the parts of the book.
We were away this weekend so not much reading time, except for during the car journeys (husband was driving) and I really got into Famous Last Words by Gillian McAllister. Has anyone read it? I've got about 10% left to read and can't wait to finish it. WFH today so hopeful that I can get a good shift in this morning with what I need to get done today and find some time over lunch to finish it. Work is such an inconvenience at times
