I figured out the duplicate book thing, White Lies was on there twice. Something had gone awry in my copy and paste catastrophe. Book 16 should have been her Perfect Life by Teresa Driscroll, a 99p pirchase from October 2021.

I have started Anne Boleyn and am currently fooling myself that I am a lady in waiting in the French court, hanging out with Queen Claude of France and her other 299 ladies.

I finished book number 20 (of the then remaining 20) on Friday.

20 was The Last Library by Freya Sampson, not sure how this slipped under the radar when I was deleting books. A big meh from me, not my genre at all which is probably why I didn't enjoy it. It is well reviewed so if you like that kind of book I am sure it is better. It was a 99p purchase in Sept 2021.

I finished 19 this morning which was Little White Secrets by Carol Mason - 99p purchase, September 2022. Loved it. She is definitely on my possibly purchase list in the future.

I am tossing up between a new paper white to replace my super old kindle and a kobo Clara. How do you find the kobo?

My initial impressions. I am really liking it so far, it’s small to carry around. I can prop it up between my keyboard and laptop at work for reading.

The colour screen is quite nice, no horrible yellowing like the kindle had reported initially and a fraction of the cost of a colour kindle.

The Home Screen is nice and clear to see and the page turns feel very responsive.

Books wise I noticed the 99p kindle deals are pretty much replicated on Kobo.

The ability to read my library books on it instead of hefting an iPad around is amazing.

The one drawback is their equivalent of Kindle Unlimited seems quite lame. But maybe that’s a positive as I won’t be paying for it if I don’t like it.

I have recently bought the Kobo Clara BW (Black and White), so I can't comment on the colour but it's a lovely little ereader nice and crisp text display with ability to borrow from my library, and also as anniemouse has said, most of the 99p deals I have seen on amazon are also on Kobo, I think it's actually the publishers who agree the deal prices, then? I use my 7inch Kindle paperwhite for reading in bed as it is still relatively new and I can sideload my kobo purchases onto it, plus read my back catalogue of Kindle books. But the Kobo 6inch is perfect for my handbag, is lighter, smaller, and I happily read several chapters whilst in a waiting room the other day. I leave it in my handbag and therefore I know it's there for when there's an unexpected time to read. Also I can use it on my lunch break.

I recently read "the things we cannot say" set in Poland. While i overall thought the book was ok what really annoyed me is that pretty much every polish expression used was spelled wrong. How hard is it to check the spelling for a book you're publishing? I mean in the age of information being so accessible and everyone having access to google translate it is really strange to me it wouldn't be checked.

I read the new Hunger Games and thoroughly enjoyed. I wasn't a huge fan of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes but Sunrise on the Reaping was so good!

Has anyone here got a Boox eReader? I am considering the Boox Go Color 7 rather than the Kobo Libra Colour 7 because I'd be able to access the kindle app on the Boox (and I have rather a backlog on there still!)

I used to have a Kindle Oasis and really liked that button page turning functionality which is why currently I've narrowed it down to these two.

Currently I have the Kindle Paperwhite Signature, and it's great - but long term it would be nice to shift away from Amazon (and get library ebooks more easily!)

Won't be an immediate purchase as neither are cheap...

I have the not colour version, and my partner has the colour one. I decided on this partly because I have so many different books of different services, my kindle wasn't cutting it anymore. I also really love the button function.

I absolutely recommend it, I have had boox for a few years now and I dont think I'd choose a different ereader at this point

I looooove my Boox! I have the Poke 3, it's a few years old now. It's small and not as fast as a standard tablet, but I love having Borrowbox and the Kindle app on it as well as being able to read books from other sources. The slowness isn't a problem once the app has opened.

I tried to put the kindle paperwhite and the kobo clara bw on similar settings. The kindle numbering is different to the kobo, but I would say the kobo brightness is absolutely fine for night time reading. You can add warmth too. The paperwhite probably slightly better but the Kobo isn't bad at all, in my view. My photo doesn't do it justice. I did watch various youtube unboxings of kobo etc before I bought it, which convinced me to get it as my out-the-house ereader.

You can, I do it! I had to set it up with Adobe Digital Editions first but that was only one time and now if my kobo is online, it downloads any libby ebooks I have automatically

Not me looking at used Kobos on eBay I love my Kindle but I don't love using my iPad for reading Libby eBooks, it hurts my eyes. Yet I can look on websites and use my iPad for hours with no issues.
