I just finished Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors. I really enjoyed it, but the chapters were quite long which annoys my easily distracted brain

I hate it when the chapters are quite long.
I love character driven stories, liked blue sisters but i found parts a wee bit annoying (I recall!)
I can read on the treadmill with a kindle/the kindle app if the font is really big. I can’t concentrate if it’s smaller. It’s actually a decent distraction.
Ooh I think I missed this when I read the book. I loved it. If I noticed at the time, I’ve subsequently forgot all about it
I am also annoyed by long chapters. The book I’m currently reading has super short chapters. A single page sometimes. I’m not sure if that’s better.
I’m reading still The Shellseekers by Rosamunde Pilcher. The chapter I’ve just finished (over a few days - I have a 1 year old) was 121 pages 
I think my problem is that it's a home treadmill and the bit where the phone / ereader would rest is quite bouncy! Maybe I need to try and set it up somewhere else. I think page turner would be a game changer though, I wonder if they'd work with my Boox too

They’re big gym treadmills so have a large shelf under the screen. I put my towel down on it so it doesn’t slip and put the kindle on top of that. Font size 2 so I don’t have to tap it that often. Do it on the stairmaster too, anything to take my mind off what’s actually going on! There’s a woman at my gym who plays solitaire on the treadmill screen, jogging while moving the cards around on the screen is very impressive.
I finished book number 20 (of the then remaining 20) on Friday.
20 was The Last Library by Freya Sampson, not sure how this slipped under the radar when I was deleting books. A big meh from me, not my genre at all which is probably why I didn't enjoy it. It is well reviewed so if you like that kind of book I am sure it is better. It was a 99p purchase in Sept 2021.
I finished 19 this morning which was Little White Secrets by Carol Mason - 99p purchase, September 2022. Loved it. She is definitely on my possibly purchase list in the future.
My remaining 18 books are -

I have been waiting on long bright river going to 99p its been on my wish list for ages but not quite 2021 I dont think

I've read 3 of those and haven't rated them well I'm afraid. Whilst I normally devour Dorothy Koomson’s books, I didn't enjoy I know what you've done (2 *). Her Final Words got 3 stars and At the Quiet Edge got 1*. Now, in fairness, I attempted to read the last one while coming round from anaesthetic so it may actually be good. Ack! I have been on a good run of reading decent books as I have got to the end of my list, but I suppose my luck would have to come to an end eventually!
I bought a Kobo so I could read library books. I was surprised how easy it was to transfer my BorrowBox books to it this morning.
I am tossing up between a new paper white to replace my super old kindle and a kobo Clara. How do you find the kobo?
I've been flying through Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, it's so good!
