I’ll definitely call in tomorrow, as I’ll be virtually driving past the door it would be rude not to! I’m slightly concerned about parking because the car park is small and there are double yellows on the surrounding roads. I don’t mind queuing for a bit but I worry that finding parking may add on a load of time.

I am proud to share my name with Hugo!
They do use neighbouring businesses car parking too as it’s the weekend so fingers crossed and prayers to the books gods there is a space the time you’ll be by tomorrow. Looks like most of the afternoon was queue free today too, max queue time looked to be about 40 mins. Enjoy!!

I’m going to have to check out these Strike books.

I’ve had a really up and down reading week. I started Dreamland a couple of days ago and was really invested in the dystopian stuff and then it sort of became a love story and I lost interest so I DNF.

Picked up 7 books at a second hand book shop yesterday which just people all over my book ban. I need to be restrained at this point. Reading Booth by Karen Joy Fowler atm.

You can buy 10 extra hours for £9.99 but unsure if you can rollover to the next month
I looked into it before when I was running out of time listening to the most recent Alan Partridge book, you can rollover the purchased hours.

In the end I went with an audible trial to finish it, not sure if I'll keep it when it's full price next month because literally 'comedy book narrated by the author' is the only genre I can get on with with audio books, but I have found some Audible Original podcasts I'm enjoying so I might, tough decision!

Thanks for all the audio chat. Im going to look at all the options.

Spotify extra credit is not an option. Im already on the most expensive subscription for that (so that everyone in the house can have their own accounrs) and I feel its not value for money to spend a further £10 for a limited amount of hours.

54% of my 26 books read this year have been audio so even 25 hours per month isnt going to do it for me I don't think. Audible works well because I can boost my credits with the 2.99 sales (I got Iron Flame for this, I used borrow box for Fourth Wing but they don't have Iron Flame) and also the 2 for 1 sales and then the Plus category.

Im waffling now but I do think for the money audible is great value. I know others think its not but I definitely get my monies worth. Ive actually got an annual sub too so get all my credits at once.

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned already but I see lots of people using book beat for audio books and they have a 30 day free trial aswell!

Just left 66 book club. I queued for no longer than 15 mins and got parking easily. I figured I could afford to get a few books with such a good discount. £85 later… 😬

I had a free trial of it through chapter25 book club. I listened to one book but I didn’t think it would be good value for me to continue. As soon as you cancel you lose access (for anyone like me who takes out free trials and cancels immediately so I don’t forget)

What did you get :D
What didn’t I get… I’m just grabbing lunch before heading down to the rugby. I’ll post my haul when I get home tonight. Probably whilst wondering why the hell I bought most of them 😂 They did have a load of classics with beautiful covers that would make lovely presents.

A warehouse of books probably isn’t the best plan for someone as book impulsive as me! It’s quite overwhelming, I had to miss out some of the aisles as I simply couldn’t have carried anymore. There were people wandering about with just 2 or 3 books. How?!?!

I am currently reading the 22nd book left on my Kindle.

I am guessing to get to the first single digits 9th book around 15th/16th April and the end maybe around 3rd May.

I am annoyed at how many great books I had buried under book upon book. I have found so many little known books that I have enjoyed that I wouldn't ordinarly have dug out to read.

I am excited to see what will be my first purchase!

I’m about 80% through Shy Creatures , what a lovely story. William. 🥰 Did someone on here recommend it? It’s not a book I would normally have chosen.

I had planned to catch up on my housework today but reading won. Oops. 🙊 Can’t beat a coffee, blanket and a good book.

It’d be a 228 mile round trip for me to visit 66 Books and yet I’m spending my Sunday afternoon wondering what reason I can think of to pop in… 🤔

There’s a Costco just down the road. It’d be reason enough for me 😆 It’s a 120 mile round trip for me but throwing in the Costco run yesterday too makes it worthwhile, albeit, an expensive day out. But today I have muffins and books so I’m a happy bunny.

Whereabouts is this brilliant sounding 66 book club and is it open every day or just on weekends?

Its in Hemel Hempstead. Its Trade only but open certain weekends for anyone to visit. You can wait hours to get in at times though.

Its about a 700 mile round trip for me so don't ask me how I know this 😆
