For my fellow Marlow Murder Club fans, just seen an advert for the next series TV adaptation coming soon! Middle of march I believe.
6 x 1hr episodes. Each two-parters. Death Comes to Marlow adapted for the first two episodes. And two new stories written for the second and third two parters.
And Thursday Murder Club hasn't even got the first film on screen yet.
Not that's it's a competition.

Just back from an author event at my local library and mad at myself because I never remember to take any money/card..
got back to see its only £2.48 on Kindle which is nice.

I can't find anything on there tbh.. and I don't like how i'm forced to use my phone to read making normal sized books over 1000 pages. wish we had Libby/Overdrive and could read on Kindle.We share the same library! Well, we would if I ever went there
I do have Libby too...is there a way Libby books can be read on Kindle?
ETA: I googled, seems like it's complicated and something I can't do! Will stick with using my phone!
Idk. I only had Overdrive from the New York Public Library in 2020 and those could be sent straight to your Kindle via your amazon account
see previous posts though I had a b of a time trying to get them off my Kindle or traces of them no matter how many times i returned to library and deleted off my Kindle and Amazon account
Talking of author events, I attended via zoom the Curtis Sittenfeld talk with Bryony Gordon a few nights ago. Tickets were £5 with Waterstones. Well worth it, and would definitely do it again.

Unfortunately Libby books can't be read on kindles in the UK, it's a US library only thing.
hehe they can if you have a US library ticket LOL.. wish i still had access

Also I did make it through Dove Street and can confirm it was the right decision to give up.

Sister Europe that was just ok but the ending tapered off a bit,
Vanishing World BY Sayaka Murata that was good enough but I already can't remember the ending,
In the Fold - Rachel Cusk that was boring af and a real struggle to get through
So Late in the Day - Claire Keegan - basically a pamphlet that made no impression either way
KIm J'IYoung Born 1982 that wasn't what I thought it was
Currently making my way slowly through Sorrow and Bliss which isnt capturing my attention as much as the hype promised
I really need to read a really good fiction book or i'll end up in an all round not able to read slump. Couple of real disappointing letdowns in Feb
