I'm reading it atm. I like it but I don't love it, maybe because it isn't very realistic but actually the more I get into it, I'm enjoying it a bit more. It's a quick read though I've read half of it today and I've only had reading time this evening.

I was relieved to see Abby's name as the title for the chapter, but then sad to read the two sisters were also captive. At least it wasn't their blood - most likely Bill's now, I think.
Surely it is only a matter of time before Adam is found and dragged in?
And Bill. Not sure what to think about this/him?

I’m glad the girls are alive and we were correct that it wasn’t their blood. I can’t figure out the connection to the killer, Bill and why the family have been dragged into it. It’s brutal that Bill seems to be getting tortured. Is it a random psychopath or is there a backstory there?
I’m hoping that Adam will somehow manage to find them and rescue them.

I very nearly got carried away and read on but managed to distract myself with The Christmas Jigsaw Murders. I now realise I was barking up the wrong tree with my suspect on that one so I have no idea now.

I started to make one of these last year but I didn’t start it until February so I fell way behind.
I want to get one ready for next year but I can’t decide if I should make 100 books or 50 since I failed miserably at reading 100 books this year.
Another thing, did snowmobile person move Beth, Abby and Chloe individually from where they found them? How did they get him to this holding place? Force them to walk in front of him? You can't get four people on a snowmobile, but could get one more person.

hello lovely people! I have missed so much and have so much to catch up on. We have been super poorly with what I think is Covid for the last 12+ days and I’m still not fully recovered. I have read a total of -1 pages 
I’m on book 51/52 for the year and honestly I don’t think I even have it in me to read another one so I’m going to amend my goal I think. If I manage to read something then that is a major plus. I feel like an absolute cheat but I don’t even have it in me to listen to an audiobook

I finished reading Prep last night. I just don't think Curtis Sittenfeld is for me
I didn't hate the book but the main character became too tedious way too quick, haven't disliked a main character that much in a while.it wouldn't be as bad if any character development occured but there was none of that lol
I’ve just finished Beartown. I’m not going to lie, it took me a long time to get into the book and I did think about DNFing it. I’m so glad that I didn’t because the way that man understands people and the grey areas of life is extraordinary. For the first half of the book I wasn’t that bothered but now I’m so invested I’m jumping straight into the next book as I have to know how they are even though I know my heart is going to get broken.
this was almost exactly how i felt about beartown - what a glorious book about just human character and morality. i’ve been putting off the next two because i love benji so much and i KNOW something is going to happen and i’m not ready
I’ve finally finished reading Pet Sematary - it only took me two months 
In the prologue he writes, “All I know is that Pet Sematary is the one I put away in a drawer, thinking I had finally gone too far” and I remember early on thinking it really wasn’t too bad. I was proven wrong towards the end definitely looking forward to counting with my Stephen King reads next year.

I feel like I'm in such a reading slump at the moment. Like mentally don't want to read. And when I do, just can't get into anything I'm reading. Even easy reads that shouldn't take long, I just can't be bothered with it.

this honestly always happens to me in december for some reason - there’s just so much on that finding time to sit down and read is difficult and i can’t get myself into the mindset for it (if that makes sense).i also don’t like reading anything i know is going to be good (or hoping to be good) in december because i know it will get lost at the end of the year’s reading

I feel like Bill knows the person who’s holding them captive. So sad for him being tortured as he seems a nice guy. Will Adam be able to find them and rescue them? Who was the shooter, is that someone else? Was it Bill? What’s the motive for kidnapping them all? What was the point of the things in the stocking, was it just to scare them or is there more to it?

I popped into the Oxfam bookshop today and was amazed at the prices of books. £3.99 for paperbacks and £4.99 for hardbacks.
There was nothing I was willing to spend that much on until I spotted Lessons in Chemistry hardback with stencilled edges. I've read it but would have loved this copy to keep but it was £20!!
I totally get they're a charity but they get the books for free. I'd have bought some if they were reasonably priced, instead, I left empty handed.

I went into the Oxfam bookshop in York ages ago, saw the prices and walked straight back out.
I don't mind paying for charity items, but they were taking the piss on prices. I get the shop would be expensive to rent etc. But when I can buy the book on WOB/MusicMagpie for less and it's barely cheaper than buying it new, they can gtfo.
