I know it's really naughty but I've nearly finished my first Christmas book of 2024.
It couldn't be helped as the book was on order at the library, so I knew I'd be in for a long wait, (still waiting for another book and it's been over a year and I was second in the queue!)
However, there must have been a glitch in the system (that's my excuse 🤭) and it turned up bionically fast.
Sorry not sorry! 🌲☃❄🎅🦌🛷📚
What is the book called @Chocolategoggler?

Bought it on 99p deal havent started it. Mind you apparently I bought some books 4 yrs ago n haven't / its too easy to lose track on kindle 4espceially as it shows you the full library now rather than what you have downloaded. Which is annoying bcos the times i have almost deleted thinking I'm just removing from Kindle
its been on my TBR for ages and saw it on monthly deals but just felt like i didnt want to buy it now 🤣

Reading Long Island Compromise. I borrowed both a physical and kindle version from the library. I’ve no excuses not to read it, but so far I’m not being drawn in by it.

I just finished Fearless and it’s definitely smutty romance. I was a bit turned off at first by the long haired cowboy (I mean he’s no Theo 🥰) but I think that was because I made the mistake of listening to the audiobook and the voice made me squirm.
Oh thank you. So is that an Elsie Silver and is it in this Wild Love series ? If so is that #1? If it’s by Elsie silver I can look it up on GR and then see which book to get first. I think the smut is key haha

I’m halfway through The Third Gilmore Girl and it’s reminded me how much I love a good memoir. I think my goal for next year is to read more so with that in mind which ones do you all recommend? I have Matthew Perrys and Tom Felton’s on my TBR already (big fan of both Friends and Harry Potter)

ETA a quick google has informed me a memoir is in fact different to an autobiography so to avoid confusion I would take recommendations for both 😂
I listened to both of Alan Cummings’ memoirs on audiobook, and would highly recommend them.

Yesterday I finished Day One by Abigail Dean. Anyone else read this? I like this author ( was a fan of Girl A). I also enjoyed this book too although i didn’t take that well to the main characters ( I did take to Larkin and Kit though). The topic of the book was emotional and I did like the juxtaposition the idillic setting of Stonesmere and then the bleak backdrop to the book. That’s all I will say as don’t want to spoil it incase anyone decides they want to read. I rated this a 3.75 on Fable.

Started Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter last night before bed - feel like this maybe a fast read based off the first chapter alone . I keep seeing this book on TikTok as being a good so hoping I enjoy.
Yes I read Day One last week, I flew through it but I was a bit disappointed that it didn't really explain why he did what he did?!

I want a feel good romance Christmas novel to read but I'm struggling to be in the mood for any. Sarah Morgan's Christmas book is in the kids Christmas eve box for me 😂

I have read a few and I love them. The Christmas Bookshop is a great read. I just bought Close Knit last week as next week I’m going to a talk she’s having in our library. I’m hoping she’ll sign my book
Is there a specific order they should be read in? I was going to go for the Christmas books for now 🥰

I adore Jenny Colgan.. one of my go to feelgood authors. I would say they are set in specific locations but more wholesome and with likeable realistic characters. What put me off the Pumpkin Spice etc was the mentions of them being spicy. I don't want to read that kinda stuff.I highly Recommend Jenny's books though
Oooh yes the cinnamon bun book store is very spicy. It actually has chilli’s on the back of the book 😂🌶 I liked that though!
