Just had an email from Netgalley. Fiona Scarletts new book is available for request.
I’m on 19/20 on the books games now after resorting to looking up clues. However I am stumped on the camera one! Anyone got any clues?
It says part of the series on Amazon but it looks like Bookshops is a prequel?Yeah
that's the one I meant when I said I will read her next book when it's outIt looks like it has very similar vibes to TVSSOIW.
Does anyone know - do you need to read Legends & Lattes before Bookshops & Bonedust?
Its YA is it not? No spicy scenes didnt think?
How have I read that book and not know the connection to the clue? What is the connection?George Orwell book. Big Brother, someone is watching you. It’s a year.
When you say it has the same monthly deals. Is it the exact same books? Or just a selection of books at 99p.I have both! I really like my kobo reader, and it's great for downloading libby books (once you've registered, it is then linked to your library account, and will download automatically). You can also get coloured ereaders, though I don't have one (yet).
The main drawback is that, although it has the same monthly deals as Amazon, there's only ever one daily deal.
(I do prefer my kobo reader to my kindle, but my kindle is around four years old and has slowed considerably, and the battery life isn't as good, whereas I've had the kobo for around 18 months)
Oh no I was planning on reading it this monthHas anyone read 'Assistant to the Villain'? I had been looking forward to it for ages but just cannot get into it, I'm about half way through and don't feel much has happened. Anyway I've admitted defeat and have started the new TJ Klune - Somewhere beyond the sea.
Anyone got any ideas on the clock one? I'm only on 11/20 but just can't think of what it might be!
I'm worried about you!Yeah I think I did the trial, don't have much to say about it, it must've had a particular book I was looking for at the time and to be fair I think I've done a free trial on all audiobook websites now
I finished The Hidden Girl by Lucinda Riley yesterday as an audiobook and honestly wtf was this book? I gave it 2 stars as it was engaging and decent as an audiobook but it had everything thrown into it, the plot was rather ridiculous. Has anyone read it?
Hope you enjoyMy colour kindle arrived and I love it so much.
Doesn't seem that different from the signature which I adore, so I am very happy
I just finished Fearless and it’s definitely smutty romance. I was a bit turned off at first by the long haired cowboy (I mean he’s no TheoSpeaking of the Pumpkin spice cafe books, I’ve not read them but a friend who I’m buying for Christmas loves them. She’s read all the books so far. Id like to get her a book for Xmas as part of her gift, could someone recommend something similar ? I’ve seen Jenny Colgan getting discussed above. But also was considering the Elsie Silver (?) books - like Wild Love is it? Something in a series might be a good shout. I think she likes the cheesy romance but also a bit of smut![]()
We use Libby, IIRC Aberdeen uses Borrowbox? Can you still borrow books from the other library? I.e Aberdeenshire members can borrow books from Aberdeen library and vice versa?I remember when we could borrow your ebooks and I always thought yours had a better selection![]()
It’s funny I had a look at the reviews on Goodreads and so many said they DNFd at 60% and this was the exact point I thought about doing the sameI knew I didn’t like this one either, so just went to search for it on GR to find what I’d rated it. Couldn’t find it. Wondered if I’d DNF’d it, searched here… yep!

Oh wow! That’s quite a jump in genreI really disliked it too. Again probably not the age demographic for it but hated the ending. Hated the story. It was just too twee for me.
Tillie Cole writes some really dark romance so this seems almost the completely opposite end of the spectrum.(so dark Amazon banned it)
I'm currently listening to the audiobook of Rewitched and loving it.May have bought the sprayed edge copy of Rewitched…who was it saying she wasn’t buying any more books this year? Oops
oh i prefer them on Kindle because that way when I go visit my partner in NYC i have all my recipes with me well a lot of them anywayI'm not bothered about the colour kindle as I actually don't care about book coversthe main thing that I find can be better about physical books is being able to easily go back to different bits. Like when I didn't finish The Romanovs as on kindle I couldn't easily flip back to the family tree and started getting really confused with the different names. Or like once I bought a recipe book on kindle, never again
